How big of a loss will Lawrence and Tuqiri be?

Will be a big loss.

BUT…

If Marshall, Farah and Lui fire then I think we will be fine. Marshall has started season on fire and basically been setting up all our tries. All we need is Lawrence and Tuqiri's replacements to hit the holes and Farah, Lui and Marshall will get them the ball. I dont think we will have too much trouble scoring tries.

We just need Daniella and Brown to be strong in defense which I am not to concerned about at this stage.

Lawrence and Tuqiri are one of the best outside backs combos in the league with Marshall. But if Marshall still keeps firing I think we will still win more then we lose.

They are big losses but every loss of a player is an opportunity for another player

Very true smeg. I really feel for Chris though as he was a real chance of origin this year and he also started the year on fire. he is out best hole runner and often hits the gap very hard with no thought for himself getting injured. if we can get whoever replaces him to run good lines then i hope that the rest of the boys step up and when they both return we are in a good position on the ladder

I agree. Look at the forwards. We have Ellis, Gibbs and Fulton out. Up steps Woods, Fafita et al and they have been brilliant. Lots of first grade minutes and are going from strength to strength.

The key playmakers are still there which is important to our success. Leading into the semies, we'll have all regular first graders back (touch wood) with brilliant depth from the chance our reserves are getting now.

I'm gutted I have to use up 2 transfers in my fantasy team. Don't think I can afford to bench them for 3 months

Seriously though i was and still am gutted for both players particularly Rowdy he was looking good and with Jennings playing so badly was a shoe in for Origin he is just so unlucky. However Daniella did really well last year when called upon as did Mitch Brown so if picked I'm confident they will slot straight in.

Tigers!!! :sign: :sign:

All well said guys….we are in such a fortunate position where we have depth across the field this year, and look how we've had to call on it...none of the boys have let the team down, as a matter of fact, they have excelled beyond expectations, and playing outside Benji, Farah and Lui etc...has been great for the boys who have come in....the same will go for whoever comes in to replace Lawrence and Lote..hopefully they too will gun it and fire big time...if we go the distance this year our depth will have played a major role in our achievements...

Big losses, with Marshall in the type of form he is for generating line breaks and try assists, the Tigers left edge hopefully won't suffer too badly. Daniela and Brown are both quick and can tackle and both are off-contract at the end of this season. They should be desperate and putting their best foot forward each week now that they have a probably opportunity to show what they can do in first grade.

Smeg said it best, and we have plenty of depth.

Will be interesting to see if we can still convincingly win games with just about our whole left side out.

Simple answer: Pretty big loss.
However we have the depth to replace them till they're recovered and ready.
So bring it on, Geoff Daniela's time to shine !

:astonished: I agree with everything in this post

huge loss…..

time for someone else to step up bring on Daniela....

as disappointing as it is…. we get to test our depth...
then come the back end of the season get our big guns back...
im suprisingly not concerned at all.

Both Lote and Lawrence would obviously be preferred over whoever replaces them this Sunday, but I think we need to be optimistic. Possible replacements like Beau, Mitch Brown and Geoff Daniella have all played in winning Tigers teams and will fill those spots well if their performances in 2010 is any good indicator.

Then you have Moltzen, who hasn't been utilised so far this year who many believe could play competently in the centres.

Obviously losing two players of their caliber is not ideal, but I think their replacements are more than capable of filling those positions to good standard.

With the guys to come in they will go some way to cover these losses.

However, we will definitely lose that guarantee of 2-3 tries per game down that wing. I'm not saying the guys coming in won't perform or score tries but we will lose some in attack.

The challenge for the boys is now to not let that affect the other parts of our game such as defence, frustration in attack when we aren't so fluent etc.

A positive for them is that they know they will be in the position for a while so they can play with that confidence.

The injuries are so bad but I'm siked to see Geoff Daniela taking the field.
He's a beast and he will not disappoint!
