How confident are you we can beat the Dragons?

As long as our forwards stand up and Marshall and Farah play direct, I think we will win. We won't go around them. I think outside-inside balls near some of their big forwards like Weyman and we should be fine…Perfect game for McKinnon if he was fit cause he loves sniffing around those lil short balls in traffic

As a slight issue am I the only one sick and tired of this Choke rubbish from some sections of our fanbase?

Are people not aware that it actually is more of an insult to our side than it is to St George? It is basically saying that if St George play to potential than it is actually impossible for us to win.

Hehehe never thought of it this way. Nice.

I think the whole choke tag is a little overdone myself. The Dragons were beaten by better teams in last year's finals, and let's be honest, the Tigers outplayed them in 2005, they swarmed them in defence and with Marshall, Prince, Farah and Hodgo all on fire, the Tigers had superior ball movement and attacking firepower.

Again, while the Dragons have proven they are the most consistent team over 26 rounds, I still have doubts as to whether they can go up another gear in the finals. Manly were injury ravaged, playing poorly and ran into the Dragons at Kogarah, they had no chance.

The Tigers on the other hand have clearly lifted their intensity but still have improvement left in them, particularly in defence. If they can address some simple one-on-one misses that have hurt them, they certainly have the attack to worry the Dragons. I thought the Tigers pretty much beat themselves at Kogarah this season, ball control was poor, they played most of the first half in their own half and gifted the Dragons with several tries through poor one-on-one misses.

Saturday night will certainly be tough, but I give the Tigers every chance if they tighten their defence and keep up the good ball control they showed against Canberra.

As I recall the Dragons game this year was a Friday night game following a pretty tough game the week before. From memory I thought leading into the game that we were up against given our preparation. We're better prepared this time around and arguably the form team of the NRL at the moment.

If we hold our form we are big shows. While we've been slugging it out for a fortnight, the Dragons have beaten a very under-strength Manly and had a week off.

Thought it was Canberra at Leichhardt on Sunday followed by St George on the Friday. My memory may be off though

The week off will do the Dragons no favours…they have chopped and changed their line up over the last month and haven't played anyone of note on a big stage this year apart from the Rorters at the SCG...

Wests Tigers are battle hardend and ready....MOMENTUM is with us... We are playing the better football every week..We have the big game players...the loss against the Rorters has steeled them ...the win against the Raiders has given them belief..

Confident?....The Dragons wont know what HIT THEM

OHH YESSS !!! BRING IT OOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN :righton:

i think we're in with a great shot. we seem to have that great team feeling & are on a good role.
plus hornby, soward, young & smith have only played one game in 4 weeks. gives the '05 feel a bit more weight, as they had a bye in the last round i believe.

as plenty have said we need to get in front early but just as importantly the lui, lawry, lote combo has to show the dragons early also that there will be no free line breaks down that side. if the boys do that the preassure will grow on the dragons, however if they get feeling early that there are easy meters to be made down that side then they'll feel more at ease.

the club should pay for the lui family to come down & watch the game. they showed up at the roosters game & he had a blinder.
