How good was the Lilyfield rectangle!!!

That was one of most fun days Ive ever had at Lilyfield.

I was on the hill and it was bouncing all game!!

Banter good natured and top notch and the energy was enormous!!!

I took a few non tiger rectangle virgins and they were stunned how much it went off.

Of course when we kicked that goal at the end it was absolute bedlam crowned off by the lunatics getting nude hanging out of the scoreboard!!

And may i add very little rubbish aimed at Galvan when it could have easily happened!!

Well done fans we all played a part in that job well done!!

The old girl may be past it's use by date but there is always something special about it.So many fantastic memories stretching back to it's days of being an east/west ground.

I didn't realise LO was reconfigured to run north/south in the early '70's, thought it had always been like that. Jumped on Google and found it was a Speedway in the '20's and an actual oval in the '40's, then home to the Souff Sinney Water Slides (aka Glenn Morrison toilets) until recently.
