How good will the knights be. They have a potential backline of:

1) Boyd
2) Uate
3) Tahu
4) Sau
5) McManus
6) Gidley
7) Mullen

And in the backs I didnt even name:

Naiqam
Mckinnon (young red head centre from saints…gun)
Lulai
Stig (will have to be in side somewhere)
Mata'utia
MacDougall (if staying)

I mean thats a hell of a backline and depth wise all the guys I didnt list starting would start for us and alot of other NRL Clubs.

Forward pack wouldnt be unbelievable, somthing like 8\. Snowden snowden, buderus, tuiamvave, tai, houston and costigan...but they all run hard and are very physical.

Roughy for the premiership?

I wouldn't call then roughies.

If they live up to potential they are top 4, MINIMUM.

I think next year the dragons are well and truly down the ladder.

Look for the Us, Newcastle, Manly, and the Sharkies to be all genuine title threats…

Its gonna be an even closer season next year.

I'd have them down as favourites due to the fact they will have arguably the best side on paper but more importantly Wayne Benett as the coach. They also have a home ground which they perform very well at, ill be having a few $ on them to win the comp. Definately my pick to win the 2012 premiership!

Mad Dog and Lulia are on the way out. I can't see Tahu getting a centre spot over either Naiqama or Sau to be honest. They have a white hot backline next year, plus a forward pack with Costigan, Houston and Snowden who are all class players along with some quality youngsters like Edwards. Top 4 side next year, no questions asked in my opinion. Also looking forward to Jarrod Mullen improving under Wayne Bennett, much like Soward did.

if they dont end up signing buderus i reckon theyll put gidley at hooker and stig at 6

I think Gids at 6, Hilder at hooker, Stig on the bench. When Stig comes on, Gids moves to hooker and Hilder shifts into the back row. Wayne seems to like having a solid defensive unit starting the game, then brings the flare into the game a bit later (playing Young at hooker over Fein his whole time at St George).

The expectation by the fans and interest by the media will be massive, no excuses now they've got the roster the coach and the cash, all they have to do is get the chocolates most weeks, lets see if they can handle it. I'm sure their fans will be pretty impatient and want results immediately.

Hmmm, sounds a lot like us this year!

They won't win the premiership next year . I think it will take Bennett a while to change the Knights mentality of being party boys .

Under Bennett a lot of good players go to the next level. Look at Soward for the Saints, among others (Nightingale, Morris, Weyman, Creagh, Scott). Newcastle have a team full of players who probably have another gear in them, but they rarely show it, that's where I think Wayne will make a difference. I think the Knights will go deep into the finals next year, and be a serious premiership threat in 2013, providing the egos of Tinkler and Bennett don't clash too much.

in attack the knights will be only as good as the opposition lets them.
we will have to wait for 2012 and see about their defence.
