Im watching the wests v newtown on fox and ive got to say im very impressed with akeripa davis and pritchard inparticular, to think we had dene halatau filling in at centre when a guy the size of davis running around in PL, so i ask this as per that query, if these players have been in the system for a while why havent they been used when injuries occur? or have they only played for wests recently

Akeripa has been in the system for a few years. He's a product from the Western Suburbs District. Davis is a Kiwi and was an up and coming prospect with Parramatta until injuries ruined him and the Maggies threw him a lifeline. He's had one set back this season with a strained medial ligament but is back stronger than ever. Pritchard, I believe is a Western Suburbs junior also. The kid is packed with pace and sharp footwork.

All 3 players have been revelations in Reserve Grade for Western Suburbs this year. It's a shame that their inconsistency in the halves has probably hampered their progress and opportunities. However, i'm sure if all 3 remain at the Maggies in 2010, may be looked at more closely for a NRL birth with Wests Tigers. Akeripa from memory has been officially added to the Wests Tigers Squad for 2010.

thanks, i noticed pritchards pace was electric, and he seems to be a smart winger too, i dunno why these guys dont get a run when injury strikes they all look like they could handle grade

Poor Daine, while he does a lot of dumb things, he also cops some bum raps….the touchie comes on and reports him for a head slam, touchie didnt notice the head-slamee landed on top of daine

I think Pritchard is a central coast junior, this is definately his first year with the Pies. He played with the Jets last year.

it was no secret that referees in FG were starting to target him aswell, just like they used to target tallis back in the day and michael crocker, but in saying that he was all over the place in that game, on one hand he was almost unstoppable with the ball, especially off loading, then on the other hand he was horrible defensively and giving away stupid penalties

Hasn't it been stated that Akeripa is in the FG plans for 2010… same deal with Pritchard?

I think Akeripa has signed a 2nd tier contract as it was mentioned he has re-signed with the club on the NSW Cup show on Wednesday.

Rhys Pritchard was the Easterns Suburbs Jersey Flegg Captain. My spies tell me he was the fastest player over 70 - 100 metres at Easts.
He went to Easts from Manly and although he is a specialist 5/8 he spent most of his time on the wing. Apparently the style of play at Newtown meant he rarely got his hands on the ball.
I have been most impressed with his attitude since he came to us, he puts in every week. He is strong in defence and he certainly can find the line.
My spies also tell me there are two clubs chasing his signature, and although Sheens says he is in his plans for 2010,
I cannot believe they have kept him in limbo. There seems to be strange thinking at WB when you look at the signings for next year.

Im sure he played with WYONG as a 5/8\. on the c /coast. remember talking to ARTIE BEETSON ,at a club game up there and he told me he was a talent, back then..along with a HEP CAHILL. who is with the storm..

Who gives a bugger where Pritchard comes from he is a great center 5/8 not a bloody winger so for god sake Sheens sign him he is much better than a certain center and winger we have now in first grade or we will loose him and he will come back and bite us
