… I pop into this forum and actually read something uplifting about our wonderful club, something positive about our team, something to make me feel upbeat about prospects for the new season (and something which any fan of a great club might expect as normal) ............

All it's been (seemingly for ever!!) is depressing, sad, soul-destroying and the absolute pits!!

We now have three full time coaches totally 110% focussed on their teams and the club… for the first time in a while
*No more coach/parks & gardens council worker
*No more coach/media commentator
*Defence has improved gradually
*Attack was better than several of this year's semi finalists

I'm positive on next year

There's only one ongoing problem

I'm with you on everything Ink, but if Taupau leaves we will be WAY short of forward depth.

It's out of control and we can't really do anything about it. The same goes for the ongoing Farah saga. All we can do is hope this club, its management and player/coach come to their senses VERY
quickly.

Worry about it if and when it happens

Spot on Ink
I think that there are too many young'uns on here panicking.
It won't worry me too much if he leaves anyway.

I remember in the '70's Balmain got a spoon and had some other terrible years but dad and I still attended every game. Even in the spoon year there were a few top wins and I remember we were so happy - felt as if we were winning the comp!

It's a discipline that very few on this forum possess.

100% agree Ink and CQ I'm with you.

Also in the last 12 months we have moved from a board full of old leagues club blokes to actually professionals, we have a new CEO, our S&C has improved massively, we have a new major sponsor and our old major sponsor is staying involved with the club, we scored the 6th most points last year (despite all those winging about how boring JT supposedly had us playing only 5 teams scored more points), our defence improved by about 5 points per game, we have a great young spine of Tedesco, Moses, Brooks, Cherrington and one of the best props in the game in Woodsy

Things are looking up and at times you need to clear some people out in any organisation and that has happened at Wests Tigers or is happening at the moment whihc will be a little rough for a little while but still lots and lots of positives for the club

I worked for Telstra in the late '90's when their board decided that the company needed to change in order to make it more stable and efficient. They bought in an American CEO who took on the job of removing the dead wood from the company. I remember him stating that there would be need to be a process of "dislocations" within the company in order that it become a more efficient and stronger company. Hundreds of people who been with the company for over 30 years were made redundant and left the company. This process is very similar to the process which Wests Tigers are currently following.

Don't worry Ink.
Taylor won't last much longer. He'll be gone soon.

I'm not so sure about that. The club has a longer term plan and I don't think punting Taylor is part of it.

Yep….the club has clearly shown its hand in who it wants.

As for this stupid, media driven "PR war"...the club has also shown it wont lower itself to others standards and is willing to cop criticism on the chin in backing its decisions.

Bravo

Hard not to agree with you Ink.

The board is slowly trying to turn the place into a professional organisation. We're in a period of transition that will foster future success and dismantle the boys club that has permeated the club at every level.

What is laughable is we've been crying out for this for years and some thought the blood letting would be done without making tough decisions.

Look I have stuck all the facts , stats , working on players playing a minimum 50 games and I have an answer

710 days

January 1 2018 , we will have a side capably of making the 8

People patient enough to wait that long

theres only one prob with ur 710 days, by the time that comes around the board will have stuffed up again and we will be back to 7000 days, but they will tell us all we are working on it and be patient we will work it out. lol

With our luck the board will have extended Taylors contract because he made a wonderful presentation about how the team is improving :crazy

The only people who are making fun of our club are our own members of this forum!!

This is a post about the positive things that are going on at Wests and still some of the moron brigade continue to vent their bile.

Can we give it a rest for a couple of months and let's see what happens over that time.

I'm all for free speech but if all we are going to get is the same old "bash every aspect of the club", then I'm also for the controller of this forum to start banning these dopes.

I would hope that the majority of fans agree with me.
