I don't often get my dander up but the performance ub the first half was just %^&*().

Why does such a talented team need such a game every year to fire them up?

Good question Mikey. The only problem is this year they've already had 2 other poor performances like this one (against chooks and broncos) and the motivation to fire up after those games only lasted a week or two. It's a huge problem with this team, and unfortunately, it is never addressed.

What is it about Soufffs that brings that sort of performance out in us? Abysmal display from all but McKinnon in the first half. Desperately need Gibbs and Ellis to tighten the defence.

Poor mental attitude probably sums up that first 40 minutes of misery. This happens all too often unfortunately.

for quite some time, I've tried to be pleasant about losing.
not anymore, it just plain disappointing, as we know they can demolish most teams.
no more beating around the bush.
I was under impression constructive criticism was a good thing.

When a player here or there shows inconsistancy and just doesnt turn up sometimes then yes, its the players fault…....but if an entire TEAM doesnt turn up time and time again like us over the past 8 years, then its the coaches fault. Bennett gets praised for instilling consistancy to the Dragons, so IMO Sheens gets a the same "praise" for intilling inconsistancy for us.

The odd individual mistake is not the coaches fault, but a teams attitude, mental application and preperation comes from the top, so i have no problem laying this part of our downfall on Sheens

Dragons have been consistent before bennett come they dont have stand out players like us they have team players that arent that flashy but get the job done.Thats not bennett brown also did that but didnt get them to the grand final

When youve heard all the same routines, monologues, speeches, the same talks and the same threats over and over and over for 7 or 8 years….its probably difficult to be inspired.
Theyve all heard it all before.....most havent heard it any other way.

It has been our attitude which has always been our problem for the last 6 years. i can think of some the terrible balmain and wests sides in the last 45 years and as bad as their playing rosters where they had a better attitude on the field even when they were getting flogged they would bleed rather than surrender like i saw in the first half

Well, we do have a few Aussie jerseys in there, but I highly doubt we would even have those if not for Sheens being the Australian coach, so you're right, City & Country reps would be about it. Mediocrity still reigns at WT.
