Cut to last night. For the second Friday in a row we were relegated to the replay game (which is warranted BTW). But how the commentators have turned. For those who are yet to watch the telecast, notice how the commentators namely Freddy Fittler and Joey Johns talk about the WT team, virtually laughing at them. Almost in an unprofessional manner.

Wow, how easy it is to fall so far.

There is nothing "professional" about Fittler or Johns.

Freddy and Joey are clowns…no doubt but what I pick up from them is that they truly believe our side is a joke and they create their own fun because they are bored watching our team go around and get pansed every week. Lockyer and Hadley are starting to follow suit. These blokes keep getting asigned our games and they must think 'jesus why do we always get the duds'?

The three players (Joey, Fittler and Locky) are also proven legends of the sport, have all won GF's, SOO and Test matches individually for their teams and they seem fed up with the hype the Tigers enjoy when they obviously do not agree with it. I dont think they are being rude to us as supporters...they are just bored.

Who cares, when they're in the box with each other all they're interested in doing is out doing each other in the comedy department. Its an NRL match not the bloody RMC, they don't even take it seriously. Channel 9 and the NRL are an absolute embarrassment for the standard of commentators they have in the game. Sure they might be two of the greatest players ever but that doesn't automatically entitle them to being broadcasters. Look at the professionalism the AFL commentators show, chalk and cheese

Freddie, you can take the boy out of Ashcroft, but you can't take Ashcroft out of the boy. You'll always just be a bogan living in Bondi

Yeah channel 9's coverage is just going from bad to worse…too many huge ego's in the commentary box these days.

Would love the ABC to get the broadcast rights again (will never happen due to the money required though), 1980's and 1990's when Warren Boland and David Morrow did the commentary was as good as it has ever been. No BS, just down the line informative commentary. Aaaah the good ol' days :wink:
