So we got the Panthers next week.
Anyone see any chinks in their armour?
How can we beat the supposed "unbeatable"?

Let's discuss tactics or ideas.

Bash them up the middle

I think we need to get em rattled... legally.

Big egos on that team.
We need to muscle up on em.
Get in their faces.

Luai needs to be targeted.
I'd assume Burton plays #7
We must break them. Mentally.

Maybe Naden will move into centre and he's looked bored in Reggie's.

From all reports the following are likely to be chosen for SOO

CRICHTON
BURTON
TO'O
LUAI
CLEARY
KOROISAU
MARTIN
YEO
CAPEWELL for Qld

thats 9 players plus their NSW CUP side got smashed by Mounties.

BUT

Being WT'S we know what to expect ????

Get Luai off his game hit him hard get someone in his face all night.

Cherry Evans has done this well at times

Niggle him - sounds like a Job for a Grub unfortunately

This is the key.
We need the big fellas just all over Luai.
Remind him his dad is a snitch.

If we can be the more physical team, we can get them rattled.

Leota would be a big out for them.
Their depth didn't look so amazing earlier.

We almost beat them last year by being physical, scrappy and niggly in tackles. The only way they can be beaten at the moment is if they are thrown off their game. I have no idea how it will play out though with half of their team missing.

May or Burton in halves.

Hopefully Luai and Clearly are off with the blues.
And we get these kids shook.

Tigers will end their winning streak.
Atleast we can play some role in the NRL this year.

It will be a huge win if WTS are one of the few teams that take 2 points off Penriff this year and we have also played with out luck in recent times against the Slimeys and Souffs we are due for a change

Score more points than them..

Not 1 game this year have they had score board pressure..

Gus said earlier this year, Penrith rely on holding the ball, main goal for them is to rely on possession and time in possession , they need to have the ball for most of the game as they build the more they have the ball which equates to points for them.

This is what storm found out when analysing the panthers before the grand final.

So bash them up the middle and make them make mistakes, get in their face and Makesure we limit our mistakes.

Our first game against them last year was great! We played and plenty of niggle we got to them, I remember 2 terrible calls from the ref that changed the game for us. Mansour taking the ball out and the touchy calls it out and the main ref over rules him for some reason( what’s the point of the sideline ref) and the next one was a late shoulder to mcintryes head that ruled him out of the Rest of the game. No penalty at all.

Great game to go back and watch. But hopefully we can get a W so I can go to sleep not crying for once.

Our combinations and spine seem to be improving over the last few weeks. If we can continue that, and with their core players being unavailable, we have the team to beat them.

Two wins in a row is a psychological test for this team. If they can be the first team to beat Penrith this year, it might provide them with the belief that they can string a few wins together.

I feel more confident now, with seeing the improvements in our “set” spine, than I did 4 weeks ago.
