How to defeat the slimies

Surprised I have not seen this thread yet? Apologies if I have missed it.

My thoughts:

- Must control the first five to ten minutes, they feed off a strong start but get frustrated by a slow one. Fui gets benched very early, just need to survive through that onslaught.
- Hayne, why give him the ball? 5th tackle option should be to put the ball dead or to run.
- Mateo, wouldn't be surprised to see him in the centres in attack, he'll definately be on Benjis side, with people running off him. The tig's do struggle with this type of defensive requirement…need a plan?
- Keep turning Eric around, he's as slow as Tony Williams  Little balls in behind will hurt a lot, no point in going high.

simple? I predict a low scoring game, as this usually occurs when two attacking teams meet.

Good luck!

Have to stop them offloading. This is crucial for mind. If we're stopping the offload, we stop Parra.

Yeah, just need to get numbers in tackles early and stop the offloads. Parra don't offer much without second phase play and it will cut Hayne's involvement down also.

The Tigers packs stacks up well to the Eels as well so if we win the ruck, we should win the game.

keep the defensive line together at all times, the eels have started passing as they or just before they engage the line this imo is something they have been using well and could be dangerous if we dont move up together. however our line speed has been good and we should be switched on from the get go for this game. cant wait

Welcome back Flight!
Pretty accurate description.
Keep the ball away from Hayne
Survive Fui Fui
Stop offloads
Attack behind Grothe. Also Grothe is very easy to drag in off his wing leaving his winger unmarked if you run bodies (Ellis) at his centre.
