I am so over Utai

This guy is a speed hump, he cannot read the play in defence if his life depended on it.
Like I said Hodges would make him look like a fool , so many missed tackles and one when the game was on the line , if Potter plays him again he is a bigger fool than Sheens was.Considering our injuries I thought we did well but please I never want to see Utai again in first grade he is not up to it anymore give someone else a go.

I didn't notice. I saw it as him being left out to dry by his inside men.

Either way he wasn't Robinson Crusoe. Our defence in our thee quarter lines was the worst I have seen in a long time.

Yeah man, all that dirty work he did right up until the end of the game, and that BARNSTORMING TRY yeah man it all sucks. Hated alll of his go forward, and the way he constantly troubled the Broncos defence - In fact, I was screaming for Potter to HOOK his ass as he carried five defenders forward on about his 15th hit up, in the 79th minute of the game. He was Awful.

LOL @ this post. Surely this is a troll post for the sake of trolling, yeah?

Champ, Hodges makes EVERYONE look like a fool in defense. He is rangy and awkward - even against the most stoic of defenses.

Mate, Utai is probably the only fully fit outside back we have at the moment.

We lost two centres and a halfback tonight on top of 2 wingers, and two halves ALREADY out, and that isn't counting the forwards.

Full strength side - then yeah Utai would be out.

Right now, he is almost the first one picked.

Oh your blaming him for Hodges try. That is ridiculous. That was clearly Sue's fault. He over read the play. He was the marker and should have stuck on hodges but didn't.

I thought Utai was shit in the Newcastle game but tonight he was ok and the team needs someone like him, especially at a time like this when we've lost both are centres an or utility back.

If you mean tonight then you are delusional. He was one of our best.
Lawrence and moltzen, on the other hand, Well lets just say these injuries might just turn our season around.

Play utai at centre i think, i can see his value in his running game but he simply cannot play wing being that short. Centre allows you to take those hit ups and play almost the same game he did tonight without having to contest aerially as much. Unsure about his defence at centre though, never seen him there.

Admirable performance by him nonetheless, clearly trying to show potter why he should be in the 13.

You don't want to see it. Appalling. Sheens tried him there late in 2011 and we got cut I shreds.

His defence is a liability and he is too short to contest the high ball , he just should not be there if he was any good he would still be at Canterbury on wing but they worked that out a long time ago now we have the problem ,one of many with our back line.

If there is something that Utai has and which the team badly needed is fire in the belly. His try just before halftime was the catalyst for Wests Tigers to show real grit and determination throughout the second half. You can't bottle this.

Utai was fine, made a couple of errors.
but as usual showed his usual heart and took the ball forward very well.

Utai has killed us some games, but tonight he was solid… leaked one (arguably his fault) after 2 quick injuries totally altered the defensive line. Give him a break... at least he is healthy.

I'm starting to turn on my thoughts about playing him as a bench forward , he could be useful

I certainly concur. It would be a masterstoke but I have my doubts on Potter's ability to think outside the square.

You know it's funny, it seems to me that on the occasions coaches DO think outside the square and it DOESN'T come off, people think what an idiot the coach was. But that's just my take on things.

Believe me, the great coaches do think outside the square. Sure their decisions don't always come off but by far the majority of them do.

I thought Utai was good tonight. He is a liability defensively but everyone knows this, he was strong carting the ball up and hits the line hard unlike many of his teammates.
