It just doesnt make sense.

To get Potter to make all these changes and then sack him.We would be in the same situation next year as we are now.

Potter has gottten rid of players,,obviously getting in his own support staff, has signed quite a few very goood buys…....and then the board sacks him and we do it all again.

It just makes no sense at all.

Peeps are bagging the board, but they are trying to do whats best for the club.....Im assuming most agree that sacking Sheens and releasing Bunji was bang on.We have signed all the young blokes that we wanted, got mayer as CEO who seems bang on so far,

We all know that the tele has no love for us at all,yet everyone on here believes the absolute garbage they print about us.

I just dont get it....and I cant see them sacking Potter, especially with all the changes he has made and the awful ruun with injuries we have had.

Take a pill, calm down, this will ride itself out.

You are right. It doesn't make sense! But it certainly appears to be happening.

You could ignore the DT and Hadley and still hear about it - there is so much smoke there is a raging bushfire somewhere! I would much prefer to see Potter stay but that is not what the drums are beating.

Time will tell - and we won't need much time to find out by the sounds of it.

Simon I just do not trust the board factions to do what is right for the club over proving themselves right.

fingers crossed your right simon. The problem is our board are so erratic that no one can really guage where they're at. I'm very worried, because i have absolutely no trust in them.

Ok…....well dont they need unanimous support to kick Potter out??

Wouldnt that mean both sides would have to agree??

Of course it makes no sense, it seems like a bloody stupid idea

Which is why we will probably do it, because that's how we roll in Tiger town

Majority vote

It was said somewhere it needed to be unanimous. Although if that somewhere was the Telegraph it could easily be incorrect.

I think it would be ridiculously stupid to sack him, so knowing our boneheaded board it probably will happen.

We've spent 2013 pretty much starting all over again, if Potter is sacked we will be doing the exact same in 2014.

The thing that worries me is Mayer saying things such as 'Mick and I know what us going on so rest easy' and that 'he is contracted for 2014' in response to if he will be here next year. Why won't he just flat out deny it?

We didn't believe Rudd would be prime minister again but he is?

Life is results orientated..

1)Looking at the Tigers this year, the players just dont seem motivated/interested.. you cant deny that fact.. if Benji doesnt want to play and or is not performing, then he must be demoted.. not put on the bench then injected into the game when the game is lost.. thats weakness

2)doesnt matter what team we put on, they should always play %100 to their ability…

3) for what ever reason, the players dont seem to respect him as a coach, look at sook boy give me the ball farah.. he didnts seem to be too concerned with Potters future..

4) We sacked sheens with 2 years on his contract left..

If you read the above, anything is possible

If its all smoke, the only thing i can think of is that someone is putting some pressure on potter to get some results at the latter end of the season..

Potter is in the deep end, if he gets out of this he will have a bright future... if not its monday to friday 9-5 going forward

''It just doesn't make sense''

Not a lot about this club has made sense the last couple yrs so why would this be any different?

Yeah, read it had to be unanimous too.

Please keep potter, no one as good to replace him and he's already started forming his own squad!

If our board had to unanimously vote on anything we would have folded 13 years ago

This is how I been feeling about this whole mess, word for word….but.......

Before I joined in on this forum, I didn't know too much about our board and what went on there. I really only give a rats about the team and the kids coming through. But some of you more enlightened individuals seem to think that from past experience this board would be stupid enough to go down this path.

I will f#&king fall over if they give Potter his marching orders, and I will join the bandwagon in regards to the stupidity that runs OUR club if this happens, but I just can't see 10 individuals being so stupid! and even if they are, I would hope
Mayer can guide them to a more rational outlook.

I personally think Potter will be ok, unless we lose all remaining games this year, and then he may be in some sh!t.

I have agreed with every decision made this year and am excited about the future because of these changes.

This Potter issue is the only mistake I see them making, if it is actually real, to becoming a real force in this comp.
Maybe if the team went crap next year, then look at punting him, but now...ridiculous!

Either way, I'm a Tiger for the long haul!

The fact that it makes no sense is exactly the reason why it will probably happen. When has this Board ever made a sensible decision???

Im x2 ing that one.

Well said.

If Potter gets the boot I will be gobsmacked beyond belief.

I personally wouldn't believe anything that the Tele or Hadley state. I think they just make it up.

I hope they keep Potter for at least another year.

Potter needs to win 2 games to keep his job i reckon. 0 wins = fired. 1 win is iffy. Probably will lose it there to given all the talk right now.

I don't think the decision would be as black and white as that, but a couple of wins from now until the end of the season will definitely shut the media up (temporarily). They love kicking teams while they're down (especially us as of late).
