My hatred of Manly started in my early years of watching footy (back when I was a Parra supporter in the early 80's). That hatred went on strongly through the 1990's. I loved it so much when they lost to Newcastle in that grand final.

Then, of course, they murdered North Sydney. That is something they really need to be punished for, for many years to come.

And last, but definitely not least, my mind goes back to some of our recent losses to them. That wet game against them a couple years ago comes to mind where we were on top of them for almost all the game and Brett Stewart pulled off one of the arsiest tries you will ever see, juggling the ball in torrential rain to score the winning try. Makes my blood boil just picturing it!

Don't want to be a downer, but Wests lost that game 68-8\. My first ever away game when I was 7\. Painful.

As you can see by my pen name I'm an old Newtown supporter (When we had a First Grade Team) and I reckon that I've hated Manly since 1954\. The number of times I've been robbed at that Cesspit Brookvale Oval is without count, and one of my proudest days was the 1981 Final when Steve Bowden poleaxed Mark Broadhurst in stand up fair fight and we beat 'em - and didn't they winge! Ah, Happy Day! Admittedly, we lost the Grand Final the week after, but it was almost worth it to beat those imposters! I've been a Tiger's man ever since Arko and Bullfrog got rid of the Blues, so boys, if you want to make an older gentleman happy, bore it up 'em on Monday night!

Yeah it was the best fight ive ever seen and i think tommy started that off earlier in the game. :slight_smile:

Some of the comments above are a concern particularly the bin laden supporter.

I Would follow a sydney team every time before brisbane melbourne or nz.

I hate manly to but they no longer buy other clubs players like they use to.
