It was only last year I was playing oztag against Matt Utai in the local comp lol…shows how far he has taken his game in a short amount of time

Bet you are glad it wasn't tackle!

Although I resisted being negative about Utai I honestly didn't think signing him was a good move - so I am happy to help the many others eat this huge humble pie.
Considering the injury list we would be in all sorts out wide without him - but he has become more than that to the team. And I agree with the many comments about his tough running, I hope it inspires his team mates because it has been something we have lacked in the past.
When the going gets tough Matt gets going - and more power to him!

Barra

I was in the same boat. Didnt like the idea but was willing to give him a go. Was sold by half time against the dogs. Makes the odd mistake but so doed Lote.

So good to have someone that knows what he's doing out there…no hesitation, no pirhouettes, dohnuts, hopping or skipping
Happy to say there was me and I think Yoss, just about the only two prepared to give him a chance - time to toot my own trumpet
His maturity as a couple have mentioned is also very evident, compared to his Dogs days....I say thats just a natural evolution with his surroundings today - staff/teammates - to his dogs days

**raises his hand**

Add me to that trumpet list.

Trust in Folkes, Trust in Sheens. They wouldn't let a mug into our team….

:nerd: ***waits for obvious example of the contrary***

Someone made a 50/50 call and got it right :unamused:

julian barratt, legend. the boosh cracks me up no end

Put me on the Utai Bandwagon, I was a naysayer before He played a game, but wow has he performed.
If he goes back to the bench when others return it will be a joke, he has been one of the most consistant performers for us this year, and his supercoach scores prove it

He maybe lucky enough to get picked for the NZers against Australia in the Anzac Day Test on the Gold Coast now that Sam Perrett from the chooks is out injured now, what do you think??? What other oposition doe she have other than Bronx Goodwin from the Bulldogs, and Mana Vatuvei from the Warriors is out as well.
