I OWN UP DO YOU ?

A serious question for all the people who are saying they never bet against the tigers, or that they "could not bring themselves to", and I'm honestly not trying to take the piss.

How do you knowingly willfully bet on a team you know or dont think can win?

How do you justify it in your head? it makes no logical sense.

Gambling is a mugs game. I steer clear

I have not tipped one of our games correctly all year, I took us against the Warriors and Dragons, but not against the Titans or Bunnies. I am considering tipping against us every single game for the rest of the year.

I agree, I dont Gamble either. I just dont understand the mind that could let rationality be overturned by superstition or "support"

Serious question: Why does how other people tip hold such importance for you?

I don't tip against them because I don't like to tip against them, OK? Whether it makes sense or is logical or not to you is irrelevant to me.

I look at it this way If I tip against them and they lose at least something good happened

If I tip against them and they win I'm far ,far happier

Win Win if you ask me

im 0/4 with the tigers this year.
Tipped them to beat Saints and warriors, against us in our 2 wins

haha i'm exactly the same, when i tip them they lose when i dont tip them they win. I will tip manly this week so we should win.

I have scored 3 tigers games correctly this year, only missing the win v the rabbits. That means I have only picked us once this year so far…v titans.

I didnt take us on the weekend as I thought that the win v Souths would have taken a lot out of us and we would be run over in the back end of the game.

Tipped the Warriors by 23, which would've won me a few bucks. There's a difference (for me, at least) between tipping and wanting to win. Just because I don't tip us in each week doesn't mean I want us to lose, and it doesn't make me any less of a supporter.
There's a bit of a tug on the heart strings when I press the other button, sure, but give me a consistent season or three first before I jump in with both feet.

Just curious who took the Warriors in their tipping comps ?
Was watching the game on Saturday with my nephew and late into the second half he said " Agh well that's gonna stop you from getting a perfect round , aye " . I told him I took the warriors , he abused me for the rest of the game , lol.

So OWN UP , who takes their tipping seriously or DO YOU just back the Tiges every week !!! :crazy

Mate I can Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon you on this. You know how tipping comps have knockout games or last man standing attached to it where you pick 1 game each week where you are certain one team will beat another and you continue to the next week providing that heavily favored team wins.Well I was knocked out earlier than usual this year.Week 2 as a matter of fact. The game WESTS TIGERS BEATING THE GOLD COAST.Yes I picked the tigers for my definite loser of week 2.lol.

My brother in law is a tigers supporter.
Tips the tigers to lose and we win.
Tips the tigers to win and we lose.

He controls the outcome with his tipping.

this is how I see it!

Tipping against the Tigers is simply part of the Tipping sphere, but I will never place $ Bet against the Tigers… That's bad karma!

I'm a big fan of the emotional hedge. Always happy if the tigers win, but getting a tip right takes a bit of the sting away from a loss.

This year, I tipped us against the Dragons, then against in the next 3 games. So I'm 1/4 for the season…

For the same reason, I normally chuck $50 on our opposition. I don't mind paying to see us win, but like recompense for watching us lose.

I'm well aware this doesn't sit well with some fans.

This is exactly me, I tip them, they lose, I tip against them, they win. Already started the last bit with Manly this week, hopefully it works :unamused:
