I really think this will help

Aswell as Thommo is going at fullback, I'd still bring Tui back and move Thommo to wing.
The only common theme with our pathetic right defence over the last 4 years is Nofo.

Why would you say that Gallagher? Have you seen Tui's form in ISP. He was out injured this week but, in the previous two games he looked slow, out of shape and quite sketchy in defense. He is nowhere near being first grade quality. I don't like saying this because I was excited when he was first signed, thinking he could return to his earlier Warriors form.

Happy, it took Esan Marsters 2 weeks, not 2 years. MCK had some very good defensive games at centre last year. I have faith he is the answer. However, the man who knows best disagrees, as he moved Lawrence to centre against Brisbane. So it a mute point and thread really…..still think it would work though.

Agree to disagree

Hoping MCK won't be in our Top 17 once Reynolds , ET ,Twal and Packer are back :sign:

Because it gets Nofo out it was beyond a joke two years ago.
I've not seen Tui in reserves this year but his performances at NRL level have been good IMO.

I must be missing something. I think he looks impressive in attack and defence. Maybe he has missed the odd one, but I reckon Rochow can be downright horrible at times in both attack and defence. MCK hasn't had the hiccups Rochow has. Although Rochow plays big minutes. I thought Robbie got owned today by Parra.

I think a better idea is to buy a quality centre/winger before June 30\. If Wests Tigers do not want to open their purse the only other alternative would be to give Garner a contract and play him at centre. At least our backline defence would be improved and Garner could fill in at second row if the need arises.

Put a reserve grade backrower into the centers in NRL and expect the defence to be improved?
I highly doubt it.

i don't think so.

Three loses by 2 points, absolutely nothing to do with nofo - again he was solid today.

We had problems across the park - primarily poor ball handing.

Benji had 2 sets in a row where he tried a 40/20 on the 3rd tackle and both were horrible kicks.

There's some game management at times that's letting us down… this nofo stuff is getting old.

Nofo was solid today, are you for real?
Didn't attack the ball even though he had body position for the French try.
Didn't wrap the ball up that led to another Parra try and you call that solid?

I suggest you watch the replay.

Pretty usual if you lead the line speed you will miss more tackles , you get turned inside so often

Last week he left Rochow stranded because he didn't make the effort to stop the possible inside play from the Knights with his slow reaction from marker

(remember the Knights had already scores when Pearce changes the point of attack in the 1st half )

You can't coach effort KS and footy brains , well you can , you stick em back in ISP

Twal ,ET and Packer back soon enough will solve those issues

Lolohea is 'injured'…

So there its more to his dumping? Not that you will tell us.

Didn't play ISP today…knee injury...not named..so not sure he could have played NRL this week..

Oh. He's 'injured'. Big help.
So if he is ' injure'' this week does that rule him out of contention for the year?
Nofo got any 'injuries'?

This sounds as good as putting Lovett in the centres, that work well for Taylor.

I thought it was for this week to replace Nofoaluma..sorry..unsure whether Lolohea will be recovered for next week yet still early..

WT are injury depleted Cleary is a great coach but we won’t win games with packer, ET, Twal on the sidelines. It has become very clear over the first few weeks Packer is the Bus Driver. Should be named sole captain very soon.

We need to strengthen the squad in my view Goodinet, Rochow, Grant have no place in first grade. Sue and MCK are limited minute players and Eiso is a bench prop/lock. He gets dominated too easily but a workhorse.

Rochow has hit a wall many have posted similar but we really need an upgrade.

We are close to being a threat but we need:
Rep Level edge back rower, Rep Level Left Centre and Rep level fullback.

Nofo is copping a lot of heat and potentially deservedly so, however it's clear that he's integral to the game Cleary is trying to play. That style of game was even more evident with Fonua being picked today.

Cleary is playing the power game. Fonua and Nofo are essentially two extra props with their returns but also possess the prowess of mobility and offloads.
