hes had a combined 8 hitups in his 2 games while playing roughtly 30 minutes…...

but regardless of that what is the actual purpose of him being selected? to be a mentor or show leadership on the field? that cant be it as he is barely playing 15 mins a game?....is he short on money and needs a pay check so sheens is helping him out?

he definatly isnt an impact prop at this stage of his career....so im just struggling to understand the reasoning behind him being selected...where is the method to this madness

Supposedly to provide direction to the younger players.

I think it is a real bad decision. Not as bad as J Mo but it is still pretty poor.

what direction though? he spends 65 mins a game on the pine…...

You would think the Aussie coach would know a a squillion more about football than the average punter but Iam starting to have my doubts –-- Skando,Fitzy,no goal kicker, pea gun bench and the list goes on. I just hope their is a purpose to all this

Bringing Skando back is a bit of an X-File, there's mystery and conspiracy and somewhere in between the truth is out there.

Mate i'd take John Morris any day on the bench over Skando… he is playing well for the sharks IMO.

ditto

You blokes haven't been listening for the past two years have you??

Take a closer look…

8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah (c)
10\. Skandalis
11\. Payten
12\. Heighington
13\. Fulton

What do all these blokes have in common??

5 years on, and they are back together again!!
All these guys can now be classified as "big match" players.
Throw in the likes of Ellis, Moors, Galloway and i believe this pack is far more intimidating than it appears..

He is a good player and on the bench is imo a much better option than Skando however J Mo at 7 vs Skando on the bench imo is no contest.

Still Sheens just can't pick the right team can he.

Who knows how sheens' mind works. Half the time i think he just selects people to get a reaction from the 'so-called fans.'
Club warhorse that Skando is he is well past his 1st grade days.

Why isn't moors getting selected ahead of him? i still don't understand what happened to moors.
i have a feeling its something to do with the salary cap.

I think Skando is something to do with the cap.
Maybe were both right, probably were both wrong.
As much as I love the big guy, it IS a step backwards, as was Fitzy (more a massive leap than a step - well, you know what I mean)

prior to moors getting injured the only logical reason could be salary cap.
unless moors upset sheens somehow and he is so pigheaded and arrogant he isnt playing who was our MOST INFORM FORWARD.

Fitzy is just sheens lovechild, i 100% wholehearted think that if fitzy obviously cost us a few games in a row, sheens would not drop him

moors, fifita, dwyer need to be on our bench. fitzy must go. skando we love u but no room in 1st grade.
our starting 13 can mix it with the best. its the 4 that come off the bench that we loose so much. we have a weak bench.

It's because we don't have alot of front rowers with first grade experience and we need that in big games. We have Galloway, Gibbs, Payten, Fifita and Skandalis with first grade experience. I see Moors as more of a second rower especially when we play against a team with big front rowers like Manly. Payten could have started on the interchange though and have come on as a front rower and then we wouldn't have needed Skandalis on the interchange. When Ellis is back I would like to see Galloway and Gibbs start in the front row with Ellis and Fulton to start in the second row and Heighington at lock forward. Interchange: Moors, Payten, Fifita, Flanagan/Dwyer.

I'm failing to see the purpose in recycling threads….....

The 6 or 7 threads currently discussing this topic not enough?

Thats GOLD !!! Classic …

On a Serious note , if we won agains Manly not a lot would have complained about Skando but yes , he does appear lighter and is loosing meters when tackled.

He aint no Michael Jordan , someone better tell him that next retirement will be for good..
