Im pumped!

Meh as long as we are competitive every game I don't care. I can handle losses when we've left everything on the field and do the basics right. What I can't handle is losing with disinterested players and schoolboy errors.

If we can rustle up 8 good wins and 16 hard fought losses that will be a successful year for mine. I have no doubt we will improve, it may not translate on the scoreboard but as long as Potter focuses on bringing on the youngsters and holding players accountable I think we will bode well in the future.

I'm about as pumped as a flat tyre !

Some forum "experts" thought all we had to do was get rid of Sheens and Humpty and everything would be sweet again …. Well how wrong were they. Good to see in some cases reality starting to hit home ... Sure taken long enough.

Sheens was a huge part of the problem. The mess he has created will take a few years to undo.

Bob you have swung from being a concerned poster with serious reservations to a kid throwing his toys out of the cot at every opportunity.

We had several thorns in our side. But none bigger than benji. I've said so many times before, his 1% plays were killing us for years, and when they did work he was crowned a magical player? Please.

I can see other clubs fighting for the services of the gigs you mentioned, they must be that good. Reality is I'm glad there gone. The reason it is taking longer to rebuild is because these gigs should have been shown the door 3 years earlier, now its taking longer to unravel. Eg contracted players. Reality is being honest with the work involved with that comes with changes, which I'm happy to go through. If you can't see under Sheens we where stale, that's living off the fumes of 05.

Yes but let's not forget that Sheens won us the premiership we all dreamed of and took us to three semi final series. In a ten year tenure yes that equals 30%. Unfortunately for us, every other coach we have had before and after are yet to get on the scoreboard. So relatively speaking, 30% is pretty good. The point I was trying to make was that it wasn't as easy as some suggested that flicking the coach was an instant panacea. Until Mayer buys us a marquee player, I think we will be stuck in the doldrums for quite a while.

Buying 1 marquee player will not do a thing.

We will be good. Our young up and comers were the shining lights last season (2013) and they were being bent over by our full time seasoned nrl players that are nothing but pretenders.

I think no one is giving those young guys credit and suggesting they still have a season or 2 to go until they perform. Rubbish. They are ready now.

My read on the issue is when a season is over its over especially as far as the Tigers were concerned. Last season was the season that had to be when Sheens was removed it was always going to happen .Now next season is a totally different animal huge player infusion and new coaching staff with new methods..the Tigers are NOT going to challenge for the title but IMO there is going to be a much improved and motivated team on the paddock each week .My prediction is they will just miss the 8 which would be a massive improvement .

How can you say NOT. You have no idea. As you say, new players, new methods. So many unknowns doesn't always = failure.

We supposedly had our most successful team leading into 2012 and the failed dismally.

I think most of you need to stop with the play it safe and say they will be good in a few years. But not this year.

Have faith in them. And don't play it safe by saying they won't make the 8.

I dont recall anyone saying booting Sheens would provide instant success…stop making things up.

When you don't agree with someone, why is it so hard for you to express yourself with intelligence …. Like Smeg did above. Maybe you don't know how.

Its not a matter of playing it safe, or having/not having faith in the team.

I think its just a matter of history, its rare for teams to come from the bottom in one big jump - not impossible- but hisory (which is a good guide) tells us its unlikely we will challenge
