In doubt..

moltzen will wear the 6 for the CC Bears in 2013

If they actually get a team together. If so, I suspect Heighno will also follow suit.

tim is the man, i dont care what anyone says, hes done nothing wrong @ 7, if sunday was his worst game then we are in for a good year

Thats exactly how I see it .

Offers way more than Mr Lui at this stage.

What are we 8 from 8 with him at HB?..I dont care how it looks, the results speak for themselves he must play at 7 for at least the immediate future. Unlike many I rate Lui and think he looks a real prospect but you cant go fixing something that aint broke.

Im not going to criticise Moltz as I promised not to but arent we 3/3 with Fitzy on the bench this year. Does this mean he should be retained? Faulty logic perhaps

thats because he hasnt been on the field, the only game we lost was when he started so it all points to less time for fitzy more wins for tigers

Ron obviously playing a 16 man squad enable us to get 3/3\. On this basis, and using your logic on Moltz, I am now a declared Fitzy on the bench supporter.

I like Moltzen and have been on the record with that since last year.

Having said that, he is an absolute protected species on the forum, apparently because of the correlation between his naming as halfback and a high win percentage. He was woeful on Sunday. The usual suspects can protest all they like, but as Southern has alread emphasised, he had very very little involvement and did some very ordinary things. The pass Marshall dropped was about as bad as it gets in first grade. A high, slow floater.

The different standards applied to Lui and Moltzen are honestly incredible. Lui showed far, far more in his 2 matches this season than Moltzen has in his. Better kicking game, better vision, better running game and throws a crisper pass. Admittedly his combination with Marshall is not as natural as Moltzen's, but that would have/will come with time.

Long term, I know which player I want the Tigers to keep.

Tim has a great combination with his mate Benji! It's like they have been playing backyard footy together since they were kids! They know what the other is going to do? That is why he is the 7!

No one can question the combination Moltz and Benji have. If I recall, the games last year when Tim was moved to 7 was also the same time Benji started to lift his game and become more dominant. But, in the last 3/4 games when Tim was moved back to Fullback, Benji still maintained his high standard without Moltz there… The main reason for our demise was injuries finally took there toll.

This year, Benji was ok in the first 2 rounds, but really hit his straps in round 3 and 4\. Ironically Moltz was again at 7 for these games. IRONICALLY!!!

I like what I see from Benji when Moltzen is at 7, but I in no way do I believe we are winning these games because of Tim Moltzen is playing in the 7 jumper. Try it this way? If Robbie plays better with a 'stuffed Tiger Toy' in his back pocket, do we also let Robbie take his pet onto the field??? What happens when Benji falls into a mid year slump? The way Moltz is playing, god help us if we need to rely on him...

WE ARE WINNING THESE GAMES BECAUSE BENJI IS PLAYING HIS BEST FOOTBALL!!!

It has nothing to do with Tim Moltzen... :brick:

Once again, I'll ask those favouring Lui over Moltzen - where do you play Moltzen?

You and I both know that if Lui plays half, Moltzen plays fullback.

Oh goody another Moltzen thread…..

southern...he throws a bad pass to Benji and you highlight it....I haven't had a chance to watch the game yet so I'll reserve judgement....what about the 30m spiral he put on Benji's chest when he scored of Flanagan against Parra....overlooked?

It's simple Benji plays better when Moltzen's at 7....just look at the Rorters game as proof....When Lui went off Moltzen to 7 we scored 26 points...

No brainer....Moltzen and Benji's chemistry will only get better.....as for Lui when he's fit he takes Fitzy's bench spot....everyone's happy....

Geo … cause and effect. I am not sure people fully under these concepts. Raiders game we are down by 20 and score 31 points in the second half. The reversal had nothing to do with where one Tim Moltzen was playing - just like in the Roosters game. The difference was that our forwards manned up and competed. League is still a game won in the forwards.
