In doubt..

It would be interesting to know if he is carrying an injury, as his form is a below what I expect of a player with his talent. Hopefully its only minor if he has one.

I guess the only positive if injured would be I would finally get to see lazarus play, to see if he is as good as many say.

He is carrying **SEVERAL** injuries at the moment..

Yeh your probably right guys. Moltzen threw a couple of nice passes I guess. One pass to Ellis was quite neat. I guess we should also applaud him for the catch and pass to Ryan like Ron did.

Robson is a poor footballer no doubt and shouldnt tie Tim's bootlaces.

I guess I just expect more from Tim Moltzen and think he has got away fairly lightly on this forum in terms of analysis of how he plays.

He's treated lightly because one or two mixed games early in the year don't undo all the fantastic ones he has had.

STS in my view Tim has only had one fantastic game at halfback - v the Raiders last year. In the other games his contribution was mixed. Back then he was still floating in and out of games.

This is no surprise given how poor his form has been this year. I still have faith in the kid and hope he can put these niggling injuries behind. We need him to stand up and help guide the team around the park.

tim is the man, i dont care what anyone says, hes done nothing wrong @ 7, if sunday was his worst game then we are in for a good year

Ron I knew you couldnt leave this one alone. Tim will do alright is my prediction and hope.

what tim did on sunday was better then anything johnny morris did for 3 years, we are winning with him at halfback whether hes playing a stella role or not his presence there is only causing positive effects

Ron, Tim had a poor game on Sunday. He did some good little things at times but overall was very poor. Morris had quite a few games better than that, including his final game against the Dogs last year. Regardless, no point comparing him to Morris given how low that bar is.

Tim needs to pick up his involvement and make sure that his distribution is quality.

you must be thinking of a different tim, the tim i saw had an average game and still managed to create chances, a poor game would be several errors, poor decison making and so on. you know like heignington verse manly

Poor games dont just involve errors. For example Fitzy has had plenty of games error free. However, by my assessment nearly all of his games have been poor ones. Tim isnt doing enough at the moment and his passing needs fine tuning. He had a poor game. Robert Lui didnt make any errors against Manly and created a few chances, but you said he wasnt up to first grade standard. Consistency!!!!

This is the last I will say on this topic. I have been a stubborn bastard on this issue.

I hereby declare I will never crticise a Tim Moltzen performance ever again.

he threw 1 bad pass but really marshall should of caught it, his passing in the previous games whether it has been at FB or HB has been excellent especially the parra game

I think the Moltzen at halfback winning streak thing is more of a testament to not having him at fullback than him as a halfback. Every time he hasn't been halfback he's been our fullback.

Your right.

For me with Moltzen at half he is a class act but at fullback I can"t recall him saving a try in defence and cringe every time a bomb goes up.

OK to carry a player every now and then if we are winning comfortably, however that changes with Injury especially at number 7.

Coach sheens has something coming this week…

Spys should Watch for the flight up north and then if all else fails the final team announcement Sat arvo....

Have to agree with you southern tiger. I have said before on here that i think Moltz is a good football player but i am yet to be sold on a position that suits him.. He is an ok half without being great and an ordinary fullback..I dont know if he is injured or not but he seems to be really struggling this year and out of sorts a bit.. Hope he comes good.

I think his best position is painfully obvious, he's a 5/8 and a 5/8 only. He gets away with playing 7 for us because Benji and Robbie are so dominant which basically allows him to play like a 5/8.

Tim wont reach his potential until he leaves the Tigers and plays in the 6 jersey regularly. Hate to see him leave, really like him as a player, but when u have Benji ahead of you, you cant blame him if he did leave.

well i dont see tim wearing the 6 jersey at any other club to be honest . i think he was bought into top grade way too early..

Tim has a great combination with his mate Benji! It's like they have been playing backyard footy together since they were kids! They know what the other is going to do? That is why he is the 7!

If only we could put some stats on this very true fact!

Obviously you weren't at the Roosters game last year when he basically won the game for us by taking a flying Minichello ball and all putting him into touch about 1 metre from the line. not many 'ordinary' fullbacks can do that.
