Tune into our new show Fox League Live on Channel 502 every day at 5pm and on Saturday at 3pm.

The NRL has locked in a season return date of May 28.

Now, clubs and players begin preparing to get back on the field and give fans something to cheer about.

While the extended break between rounds 2 and 3 has been dire in many ways, for some players it means they will miss less football through injury, given they’ve had plenty of time to recover.

There will have been nine weeks in between games. And with the end of the season potentially pushed back to late in the year, players who had been ruled out for the season may now be a chance to make it back.

Here’s an updated Casualty Ward with who we expect to return in Round 3.

Some teams that were decimated with injuries will have these players return on May 28 when the season restarts, teams that look to have benefited the most from the season suspension are Dragons,Sharks,Panthers and Tigers. For the Tigers getting Brooks and Mbye back will be a big boost,Interesting to see Liddle put down to return as well, anyone got any info on this any his likely return?

Do we play Grant or Liddle in that case?

I would say you would put Liddle in State Cup for a couple of weeks and play Grant in the NRL team to see what we have got...

Would say Grant, for a few weeks (4 or 5) at least.
Then we need to test out Liddle, hopefully he holds up but if not surely WT cut our losses and look for another option, we cannot continue to go without a first-choice 9 and pay good cash for a crock?
When is Jacob re-signed until? End of 2021?

Grant starts at 9

I expect we will have all players available except Liddle and Packer.

Do you think there is a chnace of the comp restarting?

Now that Liddle is almost going to be back if and once the season restarts, getting Grant was pretty much a waste of time.
Walters can just stay there until Liddle is good to go, then go to the bench.
Grant really isn't needed

Yes, yes I do.

Got to look on the bright side of the comp shutting down. Only losing Brooks for a week was a godsend, as regardless of sentiment for Benji, Luke is the one we need guiding us in the halves.

Momo would have much needed for his goal kicking. Now we are going to have three first grade hookers..

benji showed us he can still kick lol

If the 2020 NRL season re-starts, you won't see Liddle much this year. Id guess a few games off the bench towards the back end of the season. Grant will play all year and Liddle will be back next season.

Still a waste of time getting him, Walters has been great imo and can easily do a job until Liddle is ready or for the entire season.
He'll turn out to be one of our best buys if he wants to stick around.
