Wests Tigers can provide the following injury update on both Tim Moltzen and Tim Simona after the weekend's matches at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Moltzen left the field in the 19th minute of the Club’s NSW Cup game against the Wyong Roos with a shoulder injury and received scans this afternoon.

Surgery will not be required on the AC joint injury, however Moltzen looks set to miss between four and six weeks.

Simona failed to return to the field in the second half of the NRL match against North Queensland on Saturday night after suffering an ankle injury.

Simona’s condition will be monitored over the coming days to determine the extent of the injury and the Club will provide further updates once this assessment has been completed.

INJURY UPDATE
Tim Moltzen – Shoulder (4-6 weeks)

Tim Simona – Ankle (Indefinite)

No word on Nofo or Keef?

there was something in the final team announcement that suggested that both injuries were minor and that they are expected to be back after the bye.

Gotta feel for Moltzen, he can't cut a break! Perhaps he should look at a change of careers - I wouldn't blame him if he did.

Agreed..the bloke can't seem to take a trick….was playing well when it happened too....

I've been offline a lot lately so apologies if it's been mentioned….

Does any one think it was a bad idea bringing Simona in last week?
He clearly wasn't 100% and only did more damage.

Defo under-cooked and I think it was a massively stupid idea to risk further injury...'
Not impressed.

Moltzen's career at the Tigers is pretty much over. As for Simona, hopefully it's nothing too serious but I would have scan results would be back in already.

Seems like it. Especially considering we had the bye this week, it could have given him the extra week to recover.

Really feel for Moltzen.

Didn't JT mentioned a while back, that he won't rush players back, unless they're 100% ?

Yep, definately gotta feel for Moltz….that bloke just can't take a trick. At least he's been getting paid for the last 3 years.

His career is pretty much over at the Tigers now. His contract ends at the end of this year ( think he was on about $300k per season ) If the Tigers did throw him a bone it could be only for a year and prob match payments only.....hard to risk any more than that on him these days.

But if he does manage to move on elsewhere....I wish him the best of luck......he could certainly use some luck for a change......injuries really killed this blokes career, don't know how he has stayed so strong.

Yeah really feel for Moltz…I hope he gets back soon and picks up another NRL contract elsewhere...or happy for him to stay with us for MP if he cant.

Not the case with my man Tim Simona.
Very poor choice IMO.

Glad someone else said something about him being rushed back after saying we wouldnt be doing that.

Needed to be pointed out

I don't know about the rushed back thing. Tackle looked fairly awkward to me. Would be a strong ankle to survive that. Only saw one replay, could be wrong.

Tim certainly looked to still be going a little gingerly from his first involvement.

He seemed underdone and sadly not the first one despite the rhetoric. There is no way that Keefy should have played against the Knights either, then he also misses the cows game.

Also given the following week was a bye it smells amateurish.
