Iosefa

Iosefa just doesn't do it for me Said it last week and feel the same way this week

But after watching Humble he isn't the answer either

Hopefully Sheens can see that and will try something different next week if Robbie decides to step down next week

i agree with Happy.
And im not impressed with Humbles defence,he misses too many tackles.

Iosefa was very dangerous at times today. The issue is his decision making - which is seriously lacking.

I'm sure he can make decisions, too bad most of the times its the wrong one.

Three games in 1st grade with The Weststigers. Three games in 1st grade for a couple of years. Give the lad some time. I'm with the positive people. Go Weststigers.

Thats for a very good reason :crazy

isnt it better to be trying to hard than not trying enough? i didnt think he was trying too hard anyway..

our issue today around the ruck wasn't iosefa, it was the fact our forward ran 1 and 2 out. we had backlines set out one side of the field with 4 on 2 over laps and we persisted 1 or 2 out…

i heard brian smith on the radio after the game - he said they expected their front rowers to be scoring today. it was their objective to play up the middle. it wasnt untill the last 20 mins we realised we couldnt beat them at this sort of game and that we had to work with our backs up the edges. we do it all the time. we have a muhc better pack than years of late, but we still aren't a powerhouse. still need to utilise our backs more.

Check out his stats, he actually played a lot better than we're all giving him credit for. If he just relaxed and stopped trying too hard, he will begin to gel with the team a lot more. It's early days yet.

he wasnt bad at all. due to obvious circumstances other players would have only half been there at times and we were lacking direction. all iosefa did was put his hand up and try and do something. he could become a real asset for us in the semi finals.

Iosefa only missed two tackles today. Unf they were very prominent misses. Yeah he should have passed to Ayshford when he made his break, but we scored not so long afterwards.

It was more his distribution that concerns me. Slow and misdirected passes were fairly common, and he was a little slow to chase up the ruck. But that could just be fitness, not playing in firsts for a good while.

Let's be honest when you have the second best hooker in the comp, it's gonna be hard to replace him.

The missed tackles dont include the occasions he just watched a Rooster run past him without sticking an arm out.

I thought he was fine as a fill in, he is not Robbie Farah and to expect him to contribute like Robbie does is expecting too much, I wonder if he passed to Ayshford to score under the posts if we'd be saying the same thing…Im guessing no we wouldn't

I actually think that he is the best option we have had outside Robbie in as long as I can remember…
The Roosters rolled us up the guts with a Monster pack... Hell BJ Leilua is as big as Heigno!!
There were some times when I just went WOW with some of the balls he gave, Some great inside outside balls etc...
He has the Goods, His fitness is lacking ATM... But I really think there is something special there.
If you want to talk bad options... I think everyone out there was a little guilty of that.
Put simply, We didn't wrap up the ball and Were standing off tackles and they monstered us.
After the Bye, I assume our side will look a little like this...
Moltz, Utai, Beau, Chris, Lote, Siro, Benj, Woods, Robbie, Keithy, Blair, Ellis, Heigno, Fults, BMM, Bell, Iosefa...
Maybe Cashy...
I can live with that, As Iosefa is big enough and strong enough to give one of the Back Rowers a spell if needed and Good enough to fill in at Halves and Hooker...
Iosefa is a couple years out of firsts and in a brand new team... I think he is gonna fit just fine!!
HAVE FAITH PEOPLE!!

I thought he tried too hard in attack and was lazy in defence. Made some poor decisions and was making half assed grabs at players running past him. I'm not going to write him off after a couple of games but I would like to see more of Politoni before saying he's our next best option.

Agree.

He has only been with for a couple of weeks. Give him a break.

He has been no worse than Moltzen or Lote and they have been with us for a lot longer.

I can't figure out if Iosefa or Blair is a worse pick up at this stage.

At least with Humble on the paddock we get a player who will not miss a tackle.

I mean it's tough to judge him on three appearances, but so far we've seen a guy who is obviously a very talented attacking player make terrible decisions and try to be the "star" on too many occasions. Agree he seems to have a lot of ability. Against the storm he made a handful of 15m runs around the ruck, and obviously made a nice line break yesterday, but seriously, what was that step?

maybe he is long-term a better option than humble or Politini but IMO he needs to spend more time training with the boys to figure out there game. It might also help the other players trust him again after some poor defensive decisions as well.

yesterday really sucked because we went back to being the "soft tigers" who lost 5 on the trot. Most of the tries came through attacking raids right down the middle of the park. to go from conceding one try in 2 weeks to 7 in one arvo really hurts.
