I use one .Diagonal 29cm. I have a Targus cover to fit ,very solid, Folds upright at an angle .good for traveling.

I had a cover, then I got rid of it. It was too bulky, my dad did the same. Most people I know no longer keep the cover on after the first six months.
The new iPad model is coming out at the end of the month so older models should come down in price. Kogan is good for older models but I wouldn't go too old because the software doesn't update.

The model I have is 10 inch version. The cover I mentioned is good for traveling as I seem to remember you were going on a trip. It is true that at home you may not use the cover.

Thats a 10.1" mate. I have the same one.

EDIT. I tell a lie. It's a Galaxy Tab A 8" by the look of it. It's the only 8inch screen they've done if I'm right.

I'd say if you've came across it, it is probably too late to worry about a cover.

It works OK for what I need... Does shut down of its own accord sometimes tho not often

I think with those sort of devices as long as they work...all good, no need for these sort of devices with 1000 functions when you only need it to do a few things. Phones included.
