Is Blair serious ??

I was not and I am still not a great fan of Adam Blair. He never caught my eye that much when he was involved in a game I was watching. Obviously I have been watching more closely his involvement in games since he was signed so I could understand why he was signed. OK..maybe I have watched the wrong games…and I am sure he is a good player..but his involvement I do not find sufficient to say he is $500k player..but put Slater on out team and see what happens !!

Blair is quality. Rarely misses a tackle and there are few offloads in tackles he makes. Has a good offload and doesnt get pushed back in attack. He is only young and we have to remember we are losing experience in the pack next year and Gareth Ellis will go back home eventually.

I think you are over rating him…but we will see. If you have Fox, sit down and watch him. I have done so..and I stick with my view.

he's playing like moltzen is playing for us right now - preoccupied.

give the guy a fresh lease of life in 2012, and he'll kick in.

mark my words, our pack will be something we haven't seen ever in our 13 year history. Intimidating.

Good thing about Blair is that he shows up when he needs to show up Not one of these guys that looks great when you win by Fifty and not show up in the big games Wait until semis come around he will be one of Storms best in the semis

I hope so..

sorry , I have to add..read the Bryce Gibbs topic elsewhere on this site and see the views of your fellow members of Bryce Gibbs….I want them to say similar things about Blair after a couple of years.

Why does it worry you .You or I do not know how much coin he is on .Thats for the suits to sort out,
The rest is just rumor and inuendo.
I believe the arrival of Blair will make the pack much stronger and feared by their rivals.

Seriously mate, please take an extra 10 seconds and do the rest of the forum a service by using correct grammar.

No-one currently fears our forwards, they fear our backs.

Blair should provide the grunt and mongrel that we have not had for a good ten years. He is there for mongrel and second phase play which is something we have really been missing. That is where teams like Parra and the Dogs beat us regularly.

I wish Dwyer was playing next year ad he definitely adds the big hits to our pack.Do you guys think ayshford will move to lock or will heino stay there next season

With a probable backline of Blair/Heighington/Ellis next year and Fulton being benched, I can't see Ayshford making the move anytime soon.

I can. Ayshford has two serious weaknesses as a centre. Firstly, a complete inability to pass and set up his winger. Secondly, he gets caught out in defence on the fringes. He would be a better defender in tight as there are less decisions to make. Part of Lui's problems in defence are that Blake leaves him exposed frim time to time. Lui would have few problems if he was paired with ellis and lawrence in defence.

So who would you drop or move from the backrow southerntiger? What would your forward pack and bench look like?
