Is Moses a 5/8?

A few years down the track maybe
9 brooks/cherrington
7 moses
6 martin

Looks in the right direction. Whatever Wests tigers do they must not, for the future of the club, lose Martin. They have already fallen into that trap with Blake and Co.

To be fair, if you are referring to Blake Austin, he is probably the only player I can think of that has "kicked on" to a higher level since leaving us..But I guess your point is that we should retain quality when we see it..

You cant move brooks from the halves
If we want to keep Martin he will only play in the halves aswell
Moses could play centre as his defence has goten better after the knights game and he is an attacking threat with great Vision
4 Moses
6.Martin
7\. Brooks

Yes he is a 5/8\. The issue is he isn't a 5/8 that plays naturally to structure.

Hopefully after yesterdays game, JT now knows that and can loosen the shackles a little

He is a 5/8 or a 'Halves' depending on the teams structure.

Under Sheens we used to play under a split system and was why he always wanted to convert Benji to a 7.

Looking at Pottsy's & JT's structure over the past 12-14 months, I'd suggest we are playing a more traditional structure of a 7 & 6 even though Mitchell is not a traditional 5/8.

Moving Mitchell to 7 will mean squeezing Brooks out of our structure, as we will need a different option at 6.

What's a 5/8 these days…Brooks passed directly it to Moses 8 times yesterday...does that qualify...?

or 1/2 back? Certainly the commentators on Ch 9 seemed to think he is more suited to 1/2 back..

Don't listen to people with agendas

Gould has his pie , Johns has his pie ,Fittler has his pie

If he's going to be a centre he is going to spend a couple of seasons in NSWCup ( which is heresy to some people)to build his body up and learn to be a centre .
Defending as a centre will be ,if anything, harder than where he is now, most centres are as big as back rowers and mostly quicker. It's also easier for an attacking team to isolate a defender, could you imagine someone like Conrad Hurrell coming at him one on one most of the day
While he put in his usual courage in defence yesterday, his defence certainly hasn't got any better.
My worry is that sooner or later his luck will run out and I would hate to see him injured, just so someone won't have to backflip, and admit that just maybe the experiment hasn't worked.
And drop him back to build up his body, and that's not something that will be a quick fix. It will take time.

When I think of it maybe fullback is his spot, based on the game last year against dogs. Tedesco could be given a go at centre for now maybe. However I'm so tired of this team juggling players in positions half way thru a season. This just amplifies what a basket case the wests tigers are.

This guys a weapon, I have always believed he will kick on and he is showing signs. Taylor needs to tell Brooks and Moses to do whatever they want, that will allow them to show what they are made of, otherwise we will be sticking to this structure and keep losing.
