Is our team much better than a reserve grade side?

Watching the game tonight and thinking of where most of our previous players were playing you can see why we are getting smashed.

1\. Tedesco - Quality rep player
2\. Nofoalum- Quality first grader
3\. Watene-Zelezniak - Average to good reserve grader with the Panthers instantly plays firsts for us
4\. Suli - Potential rep player
5\. Naiqama - Career reserve grader until he comes to us and instantly plays firsts
6\. Littlejohn- Career reserve grader only ever going to play when there are injuries
7\. Rankin - Average to good reserve grader
8\. Woods - Rep player
9\. McIlwrick - Career Reserve grader straight into firsts but performing well
10\. Sue - would be lucky to make the bench of most teams
11\. Edwards- Reserve grade standard only playing firsts because we are so weak
12\. Lovett - Poor reserve grader, doesn't offer anything
13\. Taylor - Rep standard

14\. Grant - Former rep player well past his best. Would be playing reserves for most teams
15.Aloiai - Good first grader with a bit of potential. Wouldn't start for many teams but likely bench player.
16\. Liddle - Trying to step up but not yet ready
17\. Chee-Kam- Career reserve grader playing firsts because of our poor squad

Most teams may have to put up with having a couple of reserve graders playing due to injuries but when the majority of your squad is at that standard it makes it tough to win games or even be competitive. It's obvious that Cleary realises this and other than the players leaving he realises we need a big change. Whilst i don't like all of the new signings for 2018 atleast they are first graders or better.

Perfect summary, don't let this year get you down. If you have put up with the last 5 years you have done the hard yards already, this is the first time we have cleared enough dead wood to start again.

This squad knows, if they want a job here next year they have to show more.

Good summary tbh, can't really add much more to what you've stated already.

tonights team would have been lucky to be on a third of what the broncos play their 17\. says a lot for the salary cap evening the teams out

Woods a big nothing
Teddy did have a crack but nothing
The rest need help
We are not a top grade team , hate to say it but we are bottom 2

As poor as we are there are a few who should never play 1st grade again, they have had enough chances.

nofo is a rep player in attack but in defense hes a u20s player
i dont know if you can make the 8 with a player with such a massive weakness and no coach is doing a damn thing about it

Depends on who manages your salary cap, with the Tigers being one club of 7 Sydney based sides it's pretty hard to get the TPA's, Brisbane however being a One club town can get away with whatever they can.

Pretty accurate. A lot more need to go. There's not much here that would get a spot in another club

His defence is disgusting , but I'd give him a 10/10 for back peddling …he's good at that :brick:

The really scary thing is that Brisbane weren't anywhere their best tonight. I don't think that Bennett would be too pleased with them.

Look at the Cows, you only need a few select hits to your roster and the whole plan falls apart.

We brought in two reserve grade quality halves, their lack of penetration puts pressure on defence and handling.

Dont lower newcastles efforts. They are playing as well as they can. We are the bottom. Spoon is coming our way.

rankin and little john werent that bad both had better games than moses had over the last few weeks
i hope we both players get resigned as back ups for next season and the more gametime they get this season the better

the way we are going would push it for a win at the local A- GRADE LEVEL.
BUT HERES THE THING THEY MOST HAVE KNOWN , that brooks was in doubt so why let moses go this week, the club is run by idiots me thinks.

They let Moses go because he doesn't give a fig, JLJ & Rankin at least try their best.
