Luke is at least 10000000000 times better option than our ex-prima donna.
However, we have one of the best young hookers already, so pass.

Luke is an awesome character of the game.
Massive heart for a little dude.

That being said.
I voted no.

Better options out there.
Liicha or Parcel.

Don't count Liicha out, he'd improve under Cleary and have something to prove.

This is a short term fix and really not what is required..the jury is still out on Liddle but he also has to be given time to build his strength after the 2 Recos …I believe he will come good but it is not going to be overnight ,probably next season after a full off season. Run with the Killer /Taylor comb for the rest of the season with the occasional Liddle appearance.
If early next season Liddle is not cutting it then pull out all stocks in signing a quality hooker on a good contract.

We do have a hooker already but as he is unavailable we are going to lose the season accordingly. Our ex prima donna still plays virtually flawless and could even possibly play in grand final as back up this year while we head south. It would shocking if we had top players in our team.

Maybe a Should we sign Lichaa poll might help..two aa's one i tho..

If he's coming back to Sydney I'd say he'd end up at Parra or maybe Penrith with the retirement of Wallace. He should still command good money off his form this year.

Luke - No
Rein - No
Peats - No

Lichaa - Maybe

Happy to stick with McIlwrick / Taylor until Liddle gets the go ahead for 80.

If we're comparing the options of Luke, Rein, Liccha and Peats for the dummy half position then Luke wins hands down, imo. None of the others come anywhere near Luke when he is in form.

Luke is definately by far the best of that lot but at his age buying him for more than 1 year is not worth the risk.Short term option only 2019

He will be after a few years, not a one year deal. He has ESL written all over him, the golden handshake. Of course there might be a club or two willing to risk a two year deal on big money, but it would be a big risk

True, hopefully one season will be all we'll need if Liddle can get fully fit. Not sure Luke would be happy with only one year though, no doubt he'll go elsewhere.

I could cop him for a year. He's a competitor and still in pretty good form.

Better alternative to signing Lichaa, Peats, Parcell or Farah…

Would he want to come here, and would he cop a one year deal?

Agree. I see Liddle as our long term No 9\. We need someone that Ivan is prepared to use in top grade only when required. Luke would eat up too much of our salary cap and want a long term deal, which would mean we are throwing Liddle to the scrapheap prematurely.
