ISP Team Announcement: Round 18
Author Dan Talintyre Timestamp Tue 10 Jul 2018, 03:58 PM

Western Suburbs Magpies Intrust Super Premiership Coach Brett Hodgson has named his team to take on Mounties RLFC for their Round 18 clash this Saturday.

Kickoff for the match is from 1:00pm AEST at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Off the back of the bye in Round 17, Hodgson has named a strong side for Saturday's game with NRL squad members Tuimoala Lolohea, Malakai Watene-Zelezniak, Tyson Gamble, Pita Godinet, Jacob Liddle, Chris McQueen, Luke Garner, Oliver Clark and Robbie Rochow all named to take on Mounties.

After missing the last fortnight with a hamstring injury, former Junior Kiwi Watson Heleta has also been named for a possible return on the reserves list where he joins 2018 development forward Sam McIntyre.

Saturday's game is certainly shaping as a pivotal contest in the run home for both sides with Wests and Mounties both sitting equal second on 22 points, but also just two points clear of the sixth-placed Warriors.

Remarkably, the game is also the Magpies' final home game of the year despite seven rounds remaining.

Mounties always seem to find a way against us..

Stronger team than last week…

Game televised on 9..

Is this the first time Heleta has been named since his injury?

If he is good to go would prefer to develop him rather than Tui

The game Heleta got injured he was absolutely destroying the opposition. I'm not sure what has blocked his path to first grade but he has all the talent. He's very good.

Not a fan of Twal being dropped.

Way too many changes for change sake from Cleary. We are lacking momentum and continuity with our NRL.

Cleary is losing his mind

Not what I'd call an impact player. Too similar to Mats and Eiso imo.
