The one thing a thread like this proves is how easily people absorb what's published in publications like the DT. How would they know what Folau was offered by either Parra or the Waratahs? They had him going to the NH or Japan for more money, they had him going to the Tahs for a 'fortune'. Rubbish, all of it, just a smokescreen to put a band aid on the NRL's ineptitude.
In any case, as Ink suggests, it's his prerogative to do whatever he wants, he doesn't owe RL or the NRL anything, nor does he have to modify his income or lifestyle to suit those that have a 'tall poppy' fixation. It's beyond immature to call the guy a 'traitor' or 'money hungry'. That's nothing more than a sook up

Yep definitely Folau to play A League next. Sydney F.C. will be still requiring players.
Then next could be Lawn Bowls, there's good money representing Bowling Clubs nowadays
A contract with Cricket Australia awaits.
Then Gridiron, Hockey, Table Tennis, lots of sports await him play his cards right and the skies the limit.

In all honesty, I don't care where he plays. He didn't leave the game in the lurch like SBW, he finished his time here and went on to something else. He was a grand final winner, Origin and Test star by the time he was 22, like Karmichael Hunt he achieved all the big milestones in the game in such a small amount of time. I wouldn't begrudge him for moving on, and if it were me having millions waved under my snout, I can't say I'd take the moral high ground either. Every man has his price.

Happy,what's he being paid? What did Parra offer him? You don't know, I don't know and the DT most certainly does not know. NSW Rugby consider them vermin and barely communicate with them.

I agree with Ink and CB on this. If different codes/clubs are prepared to pay him what most of us consider to be large amounts of money, then good luck to him to make the most of it. If he proves to be a dud Rugby Union player, then it may hurt his chances of earning more money down the track, but that's the risk he takes. Given the tragic end to Simon Dywer's career, I don't begrudge any player for trying to earn as much as they can as it can all disappear in a moment.

If he goes to rah-rah and is a resounding success, he could well spend the majority of his career there and earn money that League may not be able to offer, not to mention play for the Wallabies and go down as a dual international. If he is a failure there then it is no loss to him, and he can come back to League and play his years out.
As I said, not going to take the moral high ground on this one because if it were me, I'd already be looking for a nice patch of real estate on the harbour to spend my shiny new dimes on.
