What is clear is that we are not the only club who's fans are frustrated by their clubs inability to field a winning FG side even when they have the provisions to do it - which all goes back to the lack of quality players available to share between 16 clubs soon to be 17.
The salary cap in its current state allows the few strong clubs to remain just that. They will keep picking off the best players for less - propped up by TPA's, golf games, jobs for partners etc, while the rest pay too much for players who are not worth it, stuff up their cap and then pay for them to play elsewhere to find room for another risk.
Penrith have shown the way out but that takes time - assembling a group of young players that have ability, come through together, stay together, and successfully transition to FG.
In the meantime more coaches to fall for trying to deliver an impossible task.
