It's finally happened

Lawrence has finally been played as a second rower.

Let's hope he has more success in this position than he has had in the last few years in the centers.

UTT

He's certainly not sustainable on his current contract. It's a shame because he could have been a great without the injuries. I'd hate to see him in another NRL jumper though.

Could be a good bench player for us

I'd like to see him play a few more games in the forwards

You have to remember that more time in the forwards could mean more injuries for him also

I agree with both of you.

He's a strong guy, laterally has lost some edge, but we've been keeping him leaner to play centres. I Wonder if he can try to put on more weight as the year progresses, I reckon he could have a few more kgs in him, like Halatau.

I reckon we should persist with this for a while.

I agree with Col. He was everywhere in defence. Was solid as a rock. Can really see a go of him in the backrow.

Except when meant to be helping Moses Tackle the Giant Pritchard. And instead coming out of the line to take the inside player as USUAL!!!!!!! And conceding the try…
Sorry has been doing it for years and needs a rocket up him to stop it!!

It was one game and with an injury he had to cover briefly and other stop start aspects of it he didnt really settle.

People really need to give this a few weeks before passing the same old comments.

Not a great back rower, but went better than he has at centre for a long time. Hoeter really showed the spark at centre that we've been lacking.

And he's still backing into tackles… at least he's learning to twist on the way down now.

Bench probably the best spot for him from here on, he may well improve on that 2nd row performance which would be good.

Hold on, so he's got to mark his own bloke, and Moses' too?

I'm hardly going to criticise defenders if Moses gets isolated 1:1 and can't stop a big bloke at the line. This is always going to be dodgy, because the inside runner can get the ball too. Either Moses gets big enough to have a shot at these guys, or we are always going to concede a virtual overlap. It's why we used to put Benji to the wing.

Talk to Lachlan Coote about bringing down a big fellow short of the line, he nailed it on Saturday.
