Why are we so focused on other clubs? South’s didn’t sign JR, RP and MM.

They’re playing the game well. Wish we were doing the same.

Well, we tried.

Then the media cried player welfare cause you can't turf players.

And we don't have the people around the club to pay them off to go away quietly like Souths.

How can a player just be released from a contract without another club to go to? If he was sacked that is one thing but released to play somewhere else that just opens up opportunity for wroughting the cap. Surely he can't play somewhere else without South's being responsible for part if the cap? Or is he planning to take a year off - also relieving South's of cap space?

It's a cover up

To help a brother move on instead of sacking him

Another brother will take his place

We would get a salary cap penalty that's why

Rorters and wabbits won't so they happily play the game to an advantage we don't get to benefit from

If he and the club agrees to cancel the contract they can. Mutual decision

So he gets a contract for less somewhere else and South's don't have to cover any of that on their cap?

Yup. Whether he will play somewhere else or not will show how dodgy it truly is.

100%. But that’s not south’s fault. We need to up our game. I couldn’t care less if we cheated the hell out of the comp. I just want to win for once (or just be competive ie finals)

Well that’s a reflection on management.

Has anyone at the club ever bothered asking Nofo or Talau if they'd be interested in playing for the Storm either on a loan basis or in exchange for JAC. Just read a SMH article by Nicolussi which says this: "Melbourne continue to hold out hope for either Tigers' flyer David Nofoaluma or even centre Tommy Talau to make the Addo-Carr deal happen. The Tigers have already made it clear neither player will be released". Rather not give them either player but either man might be keen to spend time in the Storm system with Bellamy. If not, we press on and hope Storm find someone they like from somewhere else. If there is interest, might close the JAC deal very quickly.

They may well be interested, but I think this kind of situation puts a bit of unfair pressure on the players (Nofo and Talau) and might not be good for team unity.

I wouldn't ask them.

Agree.... Unfortunately the NRL go over anything we do with a fine tooth comb and still to this day cannot believe the punishment we got for the Farah offer.. If that was a Souths / Roosters it would not of even been an issue.. We lack a powerful person with money that can wine and dine the NRL power brokers..

If the NRL rubber stamps this and allows souffs salary cap dispensation then the game is a joke. If they do I suppose we could always get Packer to mutually agree to walk away from his 750k contract - he could use the excuse that he is worried that his head knocks may impact on his future management career. And I'm sure Mr Brydens Lawyers would have contacts who would be happy to use Russell as a management consultant on some figure, lets say 750k for 12 months worth of work.

The cumulative impact of losing Koroibete, Simona, JAC has been underestimated. Imagine a WTs' backline with those three players present. There us no substitute for genuine pace and the ability to finish. Any club would suffer from these losses.

Recruitment at its worst. Just one of them stayed would be good. Except simona imo he shouldn’t be talked about as a loss

Simona should not be talked about period... just an absolute LOWLIFE.

....and he wasn't that good either.

Rubbish. Simona was a very good footballer. He made some poor decisions but is entitled to forgiveness.

Dont worry i am sure Roberts has been adequately "compensated" to walk out by a mysterious person who wishes to remain anonymous.Turdberg wouldnt even blink let alone investigate it, lets see if a little more honesty and integrity is shown by the new administration.
There is a lot of credibility on the line at the moment in the NRL which much of it revolving around souffs and the stench surrounding their morals over the last 5-6 years

He was a free running centre with genuine pace. Sheens brought him through and he looked like he would have a great career.

If this is the case forget it. We need to keep our own players. Storm got Fox, Papynhuyzen and Korobiete from us we have already over compensated them.

He had a gambling addiction - not sure that equates to being a terrible person. He made some bad choices related to that but he has paid a heavier price for his errors - more so than most players who have done wrong.
