I wonder if we've proposed loaning Talau to the Storm for a year as part of the deal. There is possibly a risk in losing him, but if we don't it would be great for his development and also help us with roster spots for next year.

I doubt storm would be happy with a loan, they want a full time replacement for JAC I would assume

It at least gives them time to look for a replacement while having one in the meant time.

I don't see them/JAC holding off just because they have finals, it's already known he's leaving; announcing where isn't going to distract anyone.

I don't see it holding off till after finals if that's what you mean by seasons end, could be when our season is over - but wouldn't have as much impact as announcing it ASAP because we need some good news.

Both will be announced (if there is anything to announce) when either team in eliminated... not before.

No it is to do with the clauses he wants in his contract, he wants a get out clause at the end of years 2, 3 and 4.
Souths don’t want these clauses inserted, but he also has a 3 year deal with the ARU on the table, which he wants get out clauses at the end of years 1 and 2.
Sounds like a bit of a problem child to me, but every good judge in both codes rates him the best they have seen

Ive seen him play quite a bit of rugby at Kings and he is an absolute monster against kids who are older ...however...kids is the operative word.

I also saw quite a bit of Paps at both league and Union at Oakhill and at the same time - apples vs apples - this kid is miles better than Paps ever was ....whatever that ultimately means is anyones guess......

Until its announced I am not convinced unfortunately... Especially with the Suli guy at Souths asking outrageous demands for a guy that hasn't even played a reserve grade game.. Not the kind of guy I would want on my team.. My gut feeling is he pulls out and guess what..... JAC to souths just like LM again..

If he wants an escape clause after every year, where is the guarantee for the club that he won't want out, or to re-negotiate every season and dance this merry dance??
