I DO hope he isn't another Reynolds but I do see a LOT of parallels.

Just own it.

The bolding of those words say it all. Especially the LOT of parralels.

Anyhow I'll be supporting the guy. Untill such time as he actually does disappoint us.

He deserves that kind of support

Not this other rubbish.

Mate I see a lot of parallels with Josh Reynolds. What is wrong with that? IMO he plays a lot like him.

Mate you are crazy. I posted two paragraphs if "i hope he makes it for himself and the club".

Leave me alone and get back on topic.

I don’t think he plays anything like Reynolds.

Hastings simply has to play 7. Brooks needs to be moved to 6 until Doueihi returns. Then Brooks can go to 14. Brooks has always been a five-eighth. His biggest strengths in his early days were his speed and ability to finish a 3-on-2 or 2-on-1. Those things were lost when Jason Taylor came to the club and came up with that stupid strategy where Farah was not to run from dummy half.

We need more from our 9. Liddle can be okay, but he can't be playing 24 games in a year. He should only be playing 10-12, and only in games where the other hooker is low on fitness.

I want to see ball-playing from our no. 9. Hodgson would be a good pickup if it happened, as that's exactly how he plays. We have some of the most damaging runners in space in the competition. Stefano, Luciano, Laurie, Brooks, and Garner are some of the better runners in space in the competition. But we need a 9 who is a good ball player and can provide more space around the ruck.

Hastings interviewed on BSB this morning by Josh Reynolds (JR back here and sitting in on the BSB team for Daley this week). http://media.skyracing.com.au/POD/1/NHv886.mp3

Good interview.
I think it's best to have Hastings at 7 and Brooks at 6. He sounds much more confident and willing to lead. I don't think Brooks was ever comfortable with that. It will bring the best out of both of them.
I'd even consider playing Doueihi as a ball-playing lock.

Well we know what position he’ll play…Or do we.🤔😂

Next season the halves will be Brooks 6 and Hastings 7 that’s if Brooks is still here for next season there’s no way they brought Hastings in to play at 6 he’s an organiser he’ll play 7 and Brooks if here next season is 6

Lets hope so.

Brooks is an awesome player, has great fitness, speed and a Dally M winner.
he is NO NR7. Can't organise, doesn't and won't boss people because that's not his personality.

Things have to change. I like Brooks, I am glad he is loyal as he is an awesome guy but... We can't go through this pain again. If Brooks walks, it's regrettable but we can't repeat the same mistakes again.

Hastings is such a dice roll. I am expecting him to last 1 week longer then Ben Barba, just so anything more then this is a nice bonus. He could be absolute gold and drive us to the finals or a wrecking ball for our team and morale. The adjustment back from Britain, will Hastings pair with Brooks and will Hastings pair with Adam Doueini? (two totally different personalities there). The pace that NRL is at now...

Some coach in the under 15's decided Brooks was a NR7. I think it's time to change that decision. Lets hope 2022 works out and that we actually tackle next year.

Would be good to see brooks in the 6 even if he continues his same role on field. Just to remove some of the stigma of the 7 jersey

Watched an old Roosters game on fox last night. Hastings was their half. He has at least one thing we haven't had for many years. A short kicking game. Well, an effective short kicking game. He was actually putting in attacking kicks on the opposition line.

How old was the game? You sure you wasn't watching his old man horrie?

@Geo what number would you have then?

Blank.. it would then stop the inane argument of who wears the number 7 in the halves..
