Just read online that Jahrome Hughes may test the market after a low-ball offer from the Storm. It states that WT are having a look.

Im happy with that. I'd rather have him over Brooks any day.

Yeah I'm sure he's dying to play for us

Why wouldn’t he, if we offer the right incentives.

Sometimes I struggle to understand why players think of a club other than the money they offer, they are only init for a little while.

They should be setting themselves up for the future.

He plays fullback as well. I’d make a big play for him.

Born: 8 October 1994 (age 26 years), Wellington, New Zealand
Height: 1.83 m
Nationality: New Zealand
Career start: 2013
Weight: 92 kg
Position: Fullback

He has shown he is up to class with Melbourne. He plays fullback and I am sure that he would make a very good fist of that position. The other good option is that he can partner Brooks in the halves. In a way I think he would be a more valuable signing than JAC. Wests Tigers would be crazy not to try and sign him.

Bellamy commands loyalty from his players. Perhaps that's one reason for his success. He speaks, players listen.

Unless we pay 30-40% more than any other club, players will take less to go to a successful club.

Also, IMO the NRL is a fairly close network among players and players would be embarrassed to be WT players.

if he doesn't stay at Melbourne he'll probably end up back home in NZ. don't think we have much of a chance if I'm honest.

Come on mate, your being extremely heavy there - "Players would be embarrassed to be WT players?" Are you embarrased to be a WT supporter?

I believe some ex players masquerading as commentators influence current players. We know our Chair took the NSW SOO coach to task. As a professional commentator you really must be aware of perceived and real conflicts of interest as well as bias, either deliberate or unintended.

Mate I've looked at the glass half full with WT ever since they merged. After all the 2017 drama, it looked like things were turning a corner and we had the right people in charge. After the last week of the alleged screw ups I can't look at things as positively any longer.

I'm not embarrassed, but I'm not out there missing finals every year. Imagine if you're workplace it was well known you were in the low performing group every year?

That's right. I have no doubt people talked JAC and Latrell out of joining the Tigers. As well as 3 of the big 4 that left.

Good player. He is a better halfback than he is fullback though.

Great, I have always thought we should try Brooks at 9, he is quick, can tackle and can pass under pressure.

And of that lot you have just mentioned, I would have only retained Tedesco. The rest of them are not worth the effort in my opinion, not at the prices and with the egos.

I would like him in our team somewhere but not on JREY money.

He isnt the Marquee we need to break the bank for

He won't leave Storm and he is not worth the 700-900k been mentioned..

Players' Agents are wrecking NRL with outlandish price requests if that is true.

Sounds like an unpopular opinion - I don't rate Jahrome Hughes. Major Milford vibes.

Wouldn't throw the money being suggested that's for sure, and that's why the Storm wouldn't keep him at that money too.

Solid in an incredible system, but a Milford in any other team.
