On an incentive based 1 year deal sure.

And can people stop naming Naiqama on the wing. Never, ever going to happen again. Do people not remember how much he was destroyed on the wing in defence and under the high ball??

I didn't say he wouldn't be deficient on the wing, he'd be better than in the centres where you may as well have a brick with glasses defending in his place.

Maybe we could use him as a back rower. Aloiai has formed a good combo with Moses on our right side attack. If he plays left with Brooks we could have strong runners on both sides. Move Lawrence to 13.

Looking good!

Idris as centre with Karwin outside him would add some don't argue to the backline

The games I have seen Karwin in - he has been hopeless or done nothing. Worse than JAC and that is saying something.

Channel 7 is reporting that we are in talks with him

Would be an awesome piece of business - and being done especially early in the off-season. I am all for it!!!!

Only the small matter of ET though…

ET may want too much money, think an announcement would have been made by now

Robbie only annouced with Souths 5 days ago.
I suspect the club would not want to announce straight after to avoid the media implying that the two were linked.

I would imagine those conversations would have happened months ago. The fact he hasn't signed elsewhere makes me think it is just a matter of cap management.

Not sure about this one…..it's gonna take most of his 1yr contract to get him anywhere near fit enough. Remember it's a different game to the one he left...much less resting time. Would need to be very cheap with an option in our favour for years 2 & 3.

I think he will be fine fitness-wise. He used to play at 120kg which I reckon is a bit heavy. He's currently 110kg and training quite a bit on his own.

If he's training on his own at least he's showing a bit of application. He was renowned for not giving a stuff about his training regime.

Looks like it's on …

I must admit i was against him coming to us because of his past as a talented but totally uncommitted player.I have however had a reversal of opinion because he actually does seem to be wanting to be a success this time.
I have no idea if we will get him but based on what he is doing atm (private training + weight loss)i would give him a chance. He would have to be better than kev.

He's only 26 and been out of NRL for one year, I think it's a risk worth taking. One thing we are lacking is power. And he brings that to the side..hopefully out wide.

He will also bring people through the gates and is a personality player so will get the club positive exposure off field. It all equates to more money for the club.
