Following AHX thoughts in putting this in a seperate thread

James has a meniscus injury to the same knee he injured in Round 1

Guessing he will be off the training track for a month after the arthroscope

James wishing you a speedy recovery , keep up the good pre season work and here's hoping we see you Round 1 in the No 1 jersey with the NRL side

jimmy the kid. his legend is bigger than his playing time. as opposed to jimmie dean we are in good stead. he is young & has a head on his shoulders.

I think when you have 18 and 19 yr olds training with senior squads especially smaller blokes then you are always a big risk of injuries as thier bodies are still developing

Maybe pushing himself too hard, trying to prove he is ready.

Maybe a modified training schedule might be needed until his body fully matures/adapts.

That is just terrible news…How about we start looking after our young players they are not adults.

Tedesco is very young and his desire to be successful has to be admired but It looks like he has pushed himself to hard to early. Don't the club monitor this stuff.

He seems very motivated but he possibly wasn't fully recovered and it looks like his return to training was accelerated with the start of pre season training. As a result his rehabilitation has now been set back by some time.

Someone needs to get a hold of him and tell him to ease up until his body is ready. Duty of care and all that stuff.

Arghh that's bad news for teddy and looks like Moltz, Reddy, Simona or Meaney may be starting the season at fullback now. If he picks up a few more injury's, the boys will start calling him the new Brett Pappworth (wasn't he unlucky with injury's)

In the pics of him training he had no strapping on his knee which I found surprising. Hopefully this is only a very minor set back.

I think you need to take a deep breath…theres been nothing official on this that Ive seen

Same
I remember Reynolds from the Rabbits who done his ACL in 2011 during pre-season training was heavily strapped in the first part of the year and it wasn't until he removed it that he played a lot better. Hopefully this latest setback doesn't rock his confidence in his knee.

I'm more than confident that won't be the case. Tedesco will be on a modified training program up until Christmas, but he'll be right for contact work once training resumes in January and such is his work ethic and natural skill level, he'll be pulling on the 1 jersey in round 1.

Even before the latest setback I thought that he might of been eased back via the 20's to regain his confidence in his knee due to the fact that he has a long future in front of him and I thought it was better to ere on the side of caution with his return. But your right about his work ethic and desire as he left Sheens with no choice but to start with him at fullback and that's a quality that will carry him a long way.

When I did my acl my surgeon said don't be surprised if you end up damaging your meniscus. I could be wrong but from my understanding its not unusual

Meniscus isn't that big a deal and considering residual scar tissue can aid in effecting a tear all is peachey for mine as long as he continues to follow rehab managers advice
