I know you are only as good as your last game...but I just don't get the constant scrutiny on here for Luai....he brings so much more to the team that what we see on game day.....Based on the Ashes games would anyone question Cleary at $1.5m?

I thought he played pretty well in a team that started strongly but ran out of steam and got man handled at the end. He had some individual bright moments, threw a poor pass, missed a tough tackle on Erin Clarke, but talked and directed his team well. Showed up in D all over the paddock often. Got a couple of poor calls.
Kiwi pack are awesome and ground their way over the top of the Samoans dominating possession in the second half. That made it harder for the halves.
Can’t agree with the comment that he was totally outclassed by Foran.

From my Perspective Margo Robbie would make me a perfect girlfriend.
I mean she is kinda OK looking, has lots of money and can pay for dinner.
Heck she can switch from Barbie to Harley Quinn... which is the exact kind of range I need in someone to deal with my personalities.

This is why she would make the ideal girlfriend for me. Also why Payne Haas and DCE should have signed with the Tigers. They are exactly what we would need.

I think that Jarome found it really hard to lead us in what was a very different system from his time at the Panthers, winners are grinners, and winning is often a snowball that keeps on growing, adversity is often difficult but resilience is the key, now that Galvin‑Gate is over I predict him having a cracking 2026 season.

Playing behind that Samoa pack and still playing like it was a WT pack. His playbook looked the same.

I want to see him run there over the summer to see if he can handle the decision making and passing ability needed for lock but nobody likes it on here.

If he wants to be a prop he needs to play less minutes to provide more impact with his size and he has to find more mongrel, a lot of his runs are just too timid.

That was my thoughts last game when people were praising him on here. Aside from one awful pass, I can't blame him for the final. Samoa just didn't have enough ball for him to have any impact on the game.

You can only straighten the attack if you're a threat with the ball and can engage defenders.

Right now, defenders are sliding off him too easily. The timing of his passing and his kicking is extremely off.

I think he just needs to spend the entire off season practicing kicking. As a ball player, he needs more options that he has to create for himself.

I see it as going back to study for Jarome. Benji has his own curriculum, direction, and game plan that need to be learned. My thoughts aren’t based on his on-field performance, but rather on the distractions we had with Lachlan, Isaac, and Gus. In the end, footy management is also a chess game.

Unfortunately, Gus played the rook and paid dearly for it.

I agree, Samoa never got the rub of the green.
The six again killed them in the end. Very harsh against them I thought. Just wore them out.
And the number of times they crossed the line but denied a try.

Whilst I am content (not happy) with his overall contribution this season...I do agree that for both the Tigers and Samoa, he needs to be taking on the line more often...running straight and also digging in before he passes. I have noticed opposition teams are moving up on him quickly and taking away his space...Benji (or more likely our attack coach) needs to build a game plan to exploit that.

Opposition teams know what he's going to do whilst he's been at the Tigers, the mindless running into dead ends and pivoting and running somewhere else is OK if it's opening up a gap but it's not working, plus his teammates look like they don't know the play.

If there was some structure on the end of it, he might have some success at creating line breaks but for the moment it hasn't brought much joy.

He is ranked #1 Front‑Row Forward for 2025.

He also won the RLPA Player of the Month for April 2025.

I can't disagree here... He doesn't take the line on enough.. if he does that then he's probably worth what we've paid him

I thin you are on the money - the oppostion have him pegged. They know if they give him space there are problems. Our problem, and Somoa's as well is that the point of attack is predictable and if you can predict something you can prevent it happening or even better still exploit it to your advantage.

We need to develop agame plan that gives both Luai and Latu room to play what they see. Munster and Cleary struggled with the intensity of Poms defence so it isn't just us and Samoa that struggle.
