We're on the up and Melbourne is looking less attractive by the week.Forget who think maybe Turuva but Pole kissed him after scoring a try. That looks like someone who wants to stay at the club.

I'd have Latu and Douehi on the bench with 4 forwards. What to do then?
I thought the same going into the weekend.People moving Twal are absolutely tripping.
I like that you're keeping Jock there but many fans would be up in arms if Douehi is put on the bench. Also, he's way to damaging and valuable to the team as a talker and leader to be left out. What's with this hamstring/ needing rest issue? He certainly doesn't look like he's carrying an injury. I agree, Latu is a great sub to have, and will do a job for us.I'd have Latu and Douehi on the bench with 4 forwards.
If we are struggling to gain yardage then put Douehi at lock to do the long kicking, or if we are struggling to take advantage of overlaps then have Douehi there.
If we need help creating space on the outside or if Madden isn't able to straighten the attack, then id put Latu there who's very good at creating space.
Also I feel Douehi needs some rest as his hamstring are definitely not 100%
Rightly O, u pick the souths game to use as your reasoning! Luai played that game as well. It wasn’t a great game by both. But Doubie being closer to the ball has him killing it, he loves playing in the halves. Do u really want to kick him now??AD needs to stay in our team but not at half back or 5/8 when Luai is fit.
AD is benefiting from having a proper half back in the team and good go forward.
He isn't an organiser, his kick game isn't accurate and is erratic. He doesn't dig into the line or get our players deep.
He is a good strong and effective runner with an improving passing game. He isn't a half back.
Keep him at 7 and we get a repeat of the South's game.
Pole is not a great starter, he needs the opposition players to be tired. His main move is his footwork which works better on tired defence. That’s why he seems better in his second run. But no need to change a team that’s winning!Pole definitely has been the weakest of all forwards but I don't want to put Twal at front row. Mentally, he needs to keep his job the same and having Douehi at lock would make him think he needs to do more ball carrying instead of doing what he's doing now.
Douehi imo is not a good centre either. He's a very good playmaker and he has certain strengths. He needs options inside and outside him whereas at centre he only has one option outside him.
He's not taking any kicks- goal kicking or general play. His stride lengths are very short when he's running and with when he gets in open field, he looks to pass straight away.I like that you're keeping Jock there but many fans would be up in arms if Douehi is put on the bench. Madden seems quite R side dominant. He does good when playing R side of the ruck, straightening th attack well. However he did play a couple of L side shirt sides well too. You're right though that Luai being back would help out L side D.Most of the discussion on the Luai dilemma has been about our attack but what about the impact on our defence.
Luai plays left side, Doeuihi plays right side. Both have proven to be very good in the defensive structure on both sides of the ruck. How many tries did Luai save last year with his defensive efforts!
So Madden comes in and replaces Luai on the left side. Firstly, does anyone know if that is Jock's preferred side in both attack & defence?
If I was to rate the 3 of them defensively, I would have AD & Luai almost equal ahead of Madden. I'd also have Latu ahead of Madden defensively.
Not to say AD can't play another position to fit in Madden but just looking at it defensively.
Luai probably nails those cover tackles that Madden missed on Twiddle and Young over the last couple of weeksMost of the discussion on the Luai dilemma has been about our attack but what about the impact on our defence.

Thanks for answering. Yes, he does wear a compression sleeve but I'm not sure about some of your other observations. His stride doesn't look shorter to me and he seems to be able to run some distance before passing. Case in point was his run before setting up the try for Bula v Warriors, but that was 2 games back I suppose. Also, Douehi has always played the ball a bit slowly, partly because he regulary fights and struggles before going to ground. Maybe a week off is a better idea if he really is struggling. Interestingly he threw a couple of his best passes all season while 'delivering early'!He's not taking any kicks- goal kicking or general play. His stride lengths are very short when he's running and with when he gets in open field, he looks to pass straight away.
His play the balls are always slow because he can't get off the ground as quickly as he used to.
This guy is still a weapon even at 80% but I think he's too valuable to risk with Luai there.
Also he's wearing a compression garment on the R hammie
You are right, i believe Luai and Taylan will lock down that left side defensively. I also believe we will look better in attack. Luai and AD just need a few weeks to really click. I dont belive AD is anywhere near being an organising 7 however Benji im sure has them both playin a hybrid 6/7 role. AD kicks long and bombs, Luai kicks short. AD plays 7 on left side shape and Luai seems to be playing 7 on right side shape. Need to see a few more games to confirm this. Luai is much more involved than he was when playing 6 at Penrith, where he was somewhat passive in attack. Most of the discussion on the Luai dilemma has been about our attack but what about the impact on our defence.

No matter the outcome, the team list thread is going to cop a flogging the next few days 😂Can’t wait for 4pm !!
He had a horrible miss against souths which led to one of their opening tries.Luai probably nails those cover tackles that Madden missed on Twiddle and Young over the last couple of weeks
I think Benji names Madden at 14 on Tuesday but he starts for Douehi on game day. Can’t wait for 4pm !!
It's not my only reasoning Lathami, I was citing an example. Just because I suggest Douehi move to the centres doesn't mean I am devaluing him as a dynamic, key member of the Tigers. He will have space and, hopefully, get lots off good service, enabling him to run, which is his go. Anyway, I expect Benji to stick with Luai and Douehi in the halves so you needn't worry.Rightly O, u pick the souths game to use as your reasoning! Luai played that game as well. As I have said rest Luai this week, and if we win again put Luai in the bench against the slime greens. I say keep the winning team together until they lose or individuals play poor.
Look I love how madden has been playing but it’s not like he’s got heaps of try assists. I know he has massively helped with tries but not the guy who puts them over the line!
