I think it was Tallis saying it's great getting a 25 year old player in his prime I think alot of people don't know his real age and 31 in PNG I think would be a good age to go they need dad's army up there

I hear there are a few places the expats hang …like the yacht club… probably wont be what 20 something NRL players would find all that entertaining ..

They will be back in Aust every second week playing games ..likely be given a night off to let their hair down .
 
I reckon they will base some young familis in Cairns and use that as their second home.
Mums feel safe ..kids get a better education...and get together as a family at least monthly

There'd be a lot of players who's WAGS, (if not complete Bimbos) would point their other halves PNGs way especially if they have a reputation for being boozy, a gambler or just a tad lecherous, their boys will have to put the partying, gambling & their peckers away. 😆😆
 
Like everyone else, I was so relieved and happy that the Mays extended. It got me thinking about Luai's signing with the Chiefs. Benji and Jarome are close. I'm sure they would have had a chat where it was agreed that Luai would not work for PNG by getting mates from the Tigers to come across. However, this pact would likely not extend to mates from other clubs such as Brian To'o. With this agreement, Jarome would be continuing to help the Tigers, while also assisting the Chiefs. Apologies if someone earlier in this thread, already made the same comment.

x2 it does seem that way. It seems like Benji has a plan and he is executing it beautifully. I mean reports came out, what the day after Luia’s announcement that the Tigers were talking to TDM to extend, and a couple of days later it’s announced he and his brother have signed long term. Not to mention being announced on 1 May, aka May-day! Surely it’d take longer than a couple of days to get that over the line.

Either that or we just got very lucky lol
 
Got to say some of the pile on towards Luai from our fans after yesterdays game is embarrassing & a lot of them need to have a look at themselves in the mirror. Blaming him for a 50 point thrashing when he set up our only two tries and all the points were scored down his opposite edge is remarkable. Questioning whether he's checked out did he check out of his last year at Penrith? I get everyone is still emotional but the pile on is getting out of hand.

He doesnt provide any leadership. He just does his job and be damned what else happens...

points were not being scored down his side
he did ok yesterday setting up 2 tries
tigers were dominated
he couldn't do much else
 
Luai has to stand up. No Api, Bula, Douehi or Samuela. This is his time to shine, to show that he really is worth his salary. I hope he does it.

Api has almost single-handedly lifted Tigers to wins a number of times when the team was the weakest in the NRL. Doueihi has turned multiple games in the Tigers favour. That's the standard we should expect from Jarome. Otherwise, these next few weeks will be bleak.
