You are not giving fans near enough credit for their knowledge.
You are commenting about a forum that has a lot of older members, who’ve seen it all.
Criticising a kid who loses games on his own is totally fair…and he did. Hopefully he learns from that and more importantly his coach does.
100% not ready for this level and it was the fan and media hype train that got him there.

Its not something specific to this forum, which is fairly moderate compared with your standard fan.

We agree re Makasini, but he is a good example of the issues with the fan base who go all in on these guys then chew them out in an instant. Kid had only ever played against school kids, should not have played as much as he did but held his gloves up all year only to get ridiculed.

Well, there are contradicting narratives around this. Benny Elias was on NRL 360 tonight and stated he heard that the club knew he was going overseas, but were not aware that it was to PNG. Not taking it as gospel by any means, but if that is the case, then he really did the club dirty.

Yeh apparently the entire board, CEO and Benji was "blindfolded" by Luais first trip to PNG in April...dunno how the others keep a straight face when Bennys tripping over his own words.

If what he says is true however...not good, but somehow i think hes stretching it a tad

I can't be bothered hating on players that don't live up to expectations while they are here there is too many of them. Glad he is gone - and I was on board with him - but it's obvious he is completely invested in PNG and the trimmings that come with it.

With all due respect that stuff is totally irrelevant. It is not a competition. Of course I'd respect the people that put their lives on the line such as police officers, soldiers, etc over a professional athlete. None of his misdemeanours are as serious as people make them to be. If one's happiness is dependent on the win/loss ratio of their football team they have bigger issues in life. There's always that starving kid in Africa type of analogy one can fall back on, which is irrelevant to the initial discussion

Its extremely relevant as it keeps things in perspective, keeps us humble. When were humble we dont feel the need to post cryptic gibberish on the internet cause we know in the big scheme of things were not that important.

Good on you mate that Brandy is a world class arsehole. I’ve been in rooms with him a couple of times. Arrogant doesn’t begin to describe him.

It wasnt even about Cleary, that aggrevated me, it was that the up start just assumed i wanted his autograph because i looked at him. How far up yourself must your head be.

I am retired now after working for the same company for over 40 years what I do know is that if I could have earned close to 50% more dollars for another company doing the same job nearing the end of my working life I would have jumped at it.
People having a go at Luai for looking after himself and his family wouldn’t worry him at all.
It’s not his fault that these Clubs (Wests included) offered him an unbelievable salary that he couldn’t say no to.

Same as Galvin, no one is begrudging you for leaving, but do it with some class and grace.
