He looked a bit better on Friday night, certainly looked like a bloke who had been given a bit of a rev up as it looked like he was really trying hard.

What happens with Liam back though ? does fifita or flanagan drop off the bench or cayless , because I think the back reserve will stay in this case fitzy but its about structure

I think Liam starts, Payten goes to the bench, Cayless drops off.

Fitzy drops off IMO. He got 3 minutes against the Eels. Doesn't make much sense to name him.

You would not carry both Flanagan and Fitzy on the bench and especially while Fulton is in the team. While the team keeps playing okay Sheens will keep Cayles on the bench. Sheens is setting him for the big games at the end of the season and bringing him on slowly and I cant see Sheens sending him back to the reggies to find some of that old form. Maybe Iam wrong but I think Sheens is more likely to bounce Fifita between the two grades this season. Anyway while we winning it dosnt really matter but come a loss or two their will be plenty of screaming from the hill

Sorry Fitzy - Willow is right.

We need the Fwds to get some more game time to allow them to get fit (Cayless Moors and Payton) and gain Experiance in FG (A Fifita).

I would give Cayless two more weeks max in FG….

I actually think he is getting better game by game.

Made some nice runs and some good hits that were absent from his first game at least.

And I dont get this size thing,he is the same height and weight as Sauce.

He looks plenty big to me.

I agree with that.
In the parra game when he came on he definetely ran it much harder than the first two weeks.
If he can keep improving he could become a real leader of the forward pack,
which is something that could be really important come the business end of the season.

In his first game he looked awful, running sideways, gettting dominated.

A little better in his next game and then the same again.

You have to remember he is coming off injury.

He is moving in the right direction, and the way we use or bench I think we can ease him back into pretty good form.

Im still pumped about him…..he used to be an absolute weapon.

Agree totally Simon…he will come good with a little bit of nurturing, as you mentioned he is coming off an injury and didnt have a full off-season.

GIve him time and he will become a good signing for us. While he may not be a force yet it is only round 4, with a little bit of time, confidence and fitness he will be right up there with Galloway as a quality front rower.

The one thing that he brings which can't be coached is experience and when the other aspects of his game fall into place he will be all good I think.

It is a no brainer,Fitzy has to go,Flanagan, like I have said all along will more than cover everything Fitzy can do,only better.

Was slightly better against the eels after his diabolical performance v the roosters

I'd send him back to state cup for 3 or 4 weeks and give him 60mins a game

in firsts he looks soft, lazy and slow. Playing 20mins at the end of each game isn't going to improve this anytime soon

The problem is what is going to happen when Fulton comes back? Will he keep deadwood Fitzhenry on the bench, or will the Gaffer go with Flanagan and Fulton… with Fifita and Cayless/Moors? Cayless has been improving, you can't expect him to be back to top form after a year out with a knee injury as well as minor clean up surgery in Jan!! IMO putting him in reggies will only make him go backwards. Let him go in FG for 30 odd mins will slowly build up confidence and make him more adaptable to the game and pace of the NRL.

Problem with sending him to the State Cup is the difference in speed between it and NRL. He really needs to get used to the speed of play at NRL level as much getting is overall fitness up. Having him play State Cup may be more of a hinderence than a help at this stage.

Our Bench should be:

Flanagan
Fifita
Lui - He can cover for Moltzen @ HB if Moltzen needs to shift from HB to cover for any injury to the backline.
Payten

Having Lui on the bench gives him the FG exposure and experience I believe he needs to be a gun in 2011/12.

Lui will again be deadwood like Fitzhenry. He would barely see any playing time!! Better off having (Cayless/Moors, Fifita and Payten/Fulton) Both Fulton and Flanagan can play a number of different positions with the latter posessing a great passing game and some real toe. Would be better off having them on the bench than wasting a talent like Lui on the bench.

Give Lui a go Guys - Trust me he still young at only 20.

They said the same to Thurston at the Dogs all those years back.

There is something there….

Well that theory just gone out the window, really didnt think Sheens would drop him, to me that is a good sign and sending a message to the squad
