Jason Taylor new Parra coach

Kearney is not a first grade coach. He was assistant at Melbourne with an illegal team and won the World Cup with Wayne Bennett as his right hand man. Give me JT as assistant … or bring back Folkes as head coach

Won a four nations as well. He did well last year with one of the worst squads since the year 2000, he's brought in a few players and will take a while to gel, it would be very harsh if they sacked him now, at least give him the season.

Ink if he leaves to coach parra to get a first grade gig…im sure Easts would give him their blessing...i don't blame him

Oh that's if its true at all of course.

JT is the Roosters 20's coach….poor form if he just walks out on them

You think? I know it would be tough on the Roosters NYC team but JT probably regards himself as a professional coach so it is not totally unreasonable for him to take an NRL gig if it comes up. There would be a massive pay difference obviously.

Parra look like a rabble at the moment so I wouldn't be surprised if they make a change sooner rather than later.

Yeh, I think.
I know there'd be assistants there to take over, but its not the same.
What difference would it be if Sheens left us mid season to take up a role with another club on a "massive pay difference"? Would that be not totally unreasonable?

There is a big difference moving from one NRL job to another and moving from an NYC role to a NRL role. I doubt any club would stop there NYC coach taking an NRL appointment.

No difference really….you take on a role at the start of the season, you make a commitment to your team and you stick by it.

Not hard

So if someone was playing for Parkes under contract and they got an offer to play NRL they should decline?
Besides I'd be stunned if Taylor doesn't have a clause allowing him to leave if an NRL offer comes through and I'm equally sure the Roosters would be aware that this situation was a possibility. It's the nature of the beast.

Mail I got this morn from my source at parra.
1) beginning this year board and Kearny agreed that 2012/13 are building seasons with no finals aspirations only a bonus if they do.
2) senior player clean out this year which I'm told will happen frees up almost $1mill.
3) hopoate has a get out clause if kearny not resigned for 4 years.
4) Kearny will sign a 4 year contract.
5) sbw deal done but he is waiting for Kearny to sign before he does.
6) lussick brothers tipped to go there next year.
7) if bulldogs get either manly half mail is hodgkinson will end up at parra.

Once Kearney can build up his own team it will be better for Para. Para have the same issues that Penrith have had over the years, and the same problem that manly are soon to have with many players on back ended contracts taking up more and more of the cap each year.

Once Kearney can clean out some of the old guard on inflated contracts Para will be better for it.
