Jayden "Bud" Sullivan #278

I can’t believe how bad he is this season.
Have seen abit of him over the years & he has never been close to this bad.

He just looks lost and disinterested.
Seems like a very dumb player, he has had all off season and now 6 games (trials) yet looks totally lost in our system.

It’s like every game is 1st time he has been with the team or seen a football.

He shouldn’t get a run at NRL level with us until he shows consistent results in cup or else we flick him. Heck would swap him for Schuster right now.

Laurie begged Penrith to take him back.
Said he'd play for free...
Didn't care about the Tigers at all.

Same attitude with Sullivan.
Except Dragons probably still wouldn't take him back for free.
Messed up big time with this one.

I know you never rated him Demps but he is a superior player to Sullivan and certainly would not be costing us near as much.

Both weak players.
Laurie > Sullivan, sure.

Laurie staying was never an option though.
Dropped the ball with this signing.

4 years... 😥
Hopefully we can work something out.

Bud playing 14 is not helping him to be a better half, and it’s not helping the team either. TDS should be 14 rotated with Simplekin every fortnight or so to ease the stress of NRL in TDS, but still getting full games in reggies. Then hopefully by the end of the year TDS is going well enough we can get rid of Simplekin.
Bud needs full games in the 7 to further his development.
 
He'll be in Super League next season. Feel he has too much ego (don't mean this in a bad way) to play long time in NSW Cup. I said this at the start of the season, if you can't make it in to a Dragons or Tigers team, then no other NRL team will be interested in you as a first choice.

it’s looking that way…

Better part of 4 years left on his deal and the people that made the call to sign him are already a long time gone…. Parting gift maybe …

Laurie never really wanted to be here, he just knew he would get guaranteed game time in the NRL to try and make a name for himself and move on. How much NRL is he playing these days? Although he was never a fullback, no work ethic.

Seeing the same nonsense again from Sullivan.

Gotta avoid these players / personalities.

With the way he is going.. he definitely fits that old cliche of needing to play some reserve grade games “ to find some confidence”…

There is no way they should keep picking him at 14 …

Benji doesn’t know how to use the utility role

Only time we have used the 14 is to replace Bud or rubbish time.

We haven’t used 14 twice this year even when we had a rotation to use.

That says it all really - Benji uses Bud out of desperation.

No starting half should be interchanged unless injured.

Raiders - Sezer on for Bud
Sharks - Bud 14mins (game gone)
Eels - Bud not used & 6 interchanges
Dolphins - Bud replaced by Fainu who gets injured Bud comes back on
Dragons - Simpkin not used & 6 interchanges


If Latu, Galvin and Sezer are injury free doubt we see Bud play anytime soon.
 
we're stuck with him until Super League comes calling, and even then we're going to be paying a considerable amount of freight to get him over there. unless there is a harrowing injury crisis at Concord he should never be sighted playing first grade again.

I think he will follow the Brody Croft, Bevan French, Jackson Hastings mould and try to get some experience in Super League. If he dominates that comp, he may come back. I got no doubts that he will be in Super League next season and hopefully the next team covers most of his paycheck.

Ali was clearly struggling at times yesterday, Simpkin had to come on to give him a break and give us done fresh legs.
Wake up Benji.
