Haven’t followed this team this yr, which guys are being touted for playing FG first? Being U21’s you would hope a couple are getting close.

Dillon, Scolari, Ogden, Fuatimau, Lui, Tupou, Sykes, Tuifua

Ogden would be the first one to get there IMO, mainly cause he looks physically ready now

Its a shame he has been so in and out with injuries, a full pre season with the NRL squad he should be pressing for selection in 2022

I'll be very surprised if Ogden doesn't have a development deal next year. some players you just look at and think they've got it, you can see it with him. I think we'll see Logen Dillon somewhere in there as well considering we don't have a genuine backup fullback and he's been tearing up JF. after that, I've got no idea who gets given a development deal. Pom said Harley Smith-Shields will get one if he ends up here, after that I think it's a guessing game.

Dillons going to be an interesting watch. That small frame always makes it difficult. He could be a Papenhuyzen or he could be a Jake Mullaney

He has a great attitude which helps his hopes of being a Pap not a Mullaney. He's very determined, works hard and has a great will to win, gets angry when we don't. This drive for excellence makes me think he'll make it.

Have we re-signed any of these players? It would be nice for the WTs to issue some advice. Some good news about our younger players would be very welcome. It's a great test of our new regime.

Don't be silly. Providing any news or information on our juniors is practically outlawed at WT. We're very amateur in this regard compared to clubs like Penrith.

I’ll think you’ll find that there has been very little contact for most of these young players. I am aware that player agents are expressing frustration about the lack of communication.

There is very little leadership here and it’s very disappointing. I love this club and its history and it’s terrible to be negative.

There is no formal feedback system - just disgraceful. If other clubs like Penrith are operating like us I would be extremely surprised and, if I ran my business like this I would have gone broke many years ago.

Little wonder that these guys will be shopped around.

I will say though fair play to “Chops” who has been ringing the players regularly during Covid. Clearly a good operator - he deserves to go far wherever he ends up.

The club needs to at least tell our young players whether they are wanted or not. Is it that hard to have a conversation (good or bad)? It’s a complete lack of respect and there can be no valid excuses. It breeds distrust and doubt - hardly a culture that will see us back to the glory days where we belong.

We are a complete rabble as a club and the results are showing this.

Rant over (not that any of the powers that be will take any notice of this forum)!

Thanks for the feedback Thaiger. It is very concerning especially since we promote ourselves as a development club.

This is very concerning, and a little surprising given all the appointments we have made recently in the development pathways space.

Surely, with so many talented juniors, the club would be very proactive in retaining as many talented juniors as possible.

Sounds like those new appointments are aimed at addressing this. By the sounds of it the club is in the position it deserves. We seem to have been a long way behind the league the past few years and a lot poorer than most clubs.

Perhaps those of you who get meetings with Pascoe could pass on the concerns above.

It’s not so much whether they are good enough, it’s more about common decency and communication.

If a young player is playing his heart out for the club and is not part of the club’s plans, let them know at least. A number of managers are providing the same feedback.

It’s not a hard thing to do.

No doubt. We should be doing the basics, whether it's Hartigan for the moment with the intention of Sheens and Or Kimmorley taking over in the coming weeks and months. Regardless of the setup and amount of support staff communication between the NRL coach, football operations etc should be frequent

Sounds like a basic management function tome. But one that can be overlooked if you already have too much on your plate. And that's the only acceptable reason I can think of.

Its not any guarantee that flegg and koe will resume next week ay

Shame, nice seeing our lower grades win

**NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg suspensions extended
Updated 4pm Wednesday 7 July.**

NSWRL would like to advise most Major and Community Competitions across the Greater Sydney Region (Sydney, Central Coast, Wollongong, Blue Mountains and Shellharbour areas) will be suspended for another week in line with the latest NSW Public Health Order (to 16 July) to deal with the public health risk from the COVID-19 outbreak.

This small suspension in competitions under the current “Stay at Home” orders will see all clubs involved in affected Major Competition matches receiving one point for a draw (COVID draw).

The finals series for the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership will now move straight to a Grand Final between Minor Premiers Central Coast Roosters and Mounties on Saturday July 24 at Leichhardt Oval.

Please note that Community Competitions in Regional NSW will proceed as scheduled and are not subject to stay at home orders but are subject to the other current NSW Public Health Order provisions and must still must adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols.

All suspended competitions across the Greater Sydney Region are scheduled to resume on the weekend of 24 July, giving teams the opportunity to train before returning to play, but that will be subject to the NSW Public Health Order which applies at the time.

“It is important for all our participants, officials and spectators to continue to observe the guidelines that have been put in place to remain safe and help get Rugby League back on the field as soon as possible.

“Furthermore, I would like to emphasise for our regional areas and competitions, not in lockdown, our competitions will continue playing, but we need to maintain our vigilance in encouraging COVID-19 safety.”

The Major Competitions involved include Rounds 16 (3-4 July), 17 (10-11 July) and 18 (17-18 July) of The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup, Ron Massey Cup and Sydney Shield; and Rounds 11 (3-4 July), 12 (10-11 July) and 13 (17-18 July) of the Mojo Homes Cup (Illawarra).

Suspended for the extra week allowing them to train? How lazy and out of touch the NSWRL is. The teams are training in small groups already. What will it matter if they haven't had a training run before playing - they just can't wait to get out there and most know what to do having trained with each other for the majority of the past 8 months. No common sense being shown whatsoever, but they showed their cards last year when they cancelled the comp so they could sit at home on Jobkeeper.

What will it matter if they haven't had a training run before playing - they just can't wait to get out there and most know what to do having trained with each other for the majority of the past 8 months. No common sense being shown whatsoever, but they showed their cards last year when they cancelled the comp so they could sit at home on Jobkeeper.

Yeah the NSWRL is pretty amateur.

Copy that

Sounds like lockdown is going to be extended indefinitely in any case now.

Pass your concerns onto @cochise ....he is at least in touch with Pascoe .....you don't know until you try .....

Expert on tonight's news said lockdown could last another 2-4 weeks.

Best case scenario tbh.
