Kautoga the standout for me. Lolesio very good too. Fainu played and was strong but has a poor motor imo.

Just a classic under 20’s game

We had all the momentum in the first half and looked like a much better team but we didn’t do enough to seal the game in the second half and the eels came storming home with a bit of momentum. I think the forwards did enough to win the game but the halves probably didn’t execute well enough in the second half and the goal-line defense was really bad.

I was really happy with Pole, Fainu, Matamua, Peni and Kautoga. I thought Bula had some good moments at fullback also even though he let in the first try in.

We seem to have more than two players in that team who could possibly step up to the NRL in time. I recall years ago Sheens saying getting two players from an U20s to first grade is the norm. Peni was rated one of the best junior footballers in Qld from Keebra Park although I recall he is a Sandgropper not a Qlder. It is no surprises with Kautoga who comes from the strong Sharks' system.

I personally think Peni has looked better than Tupou.
