Jesse is just a tough young kid who can become our Gareth Ellis type forward who other team do not want to run at

Great first season a will get better this year

He just has that tough look about him too. The sort of bloke who won't rant and rave and mouth off, just knock you out quietly. Much the same as Bruce Maguire from the great Balmain team of 25 years ago.

not trying to push an agenda however, sue did get put on report twice against france overnight..

did anyone see the game?

Impressed with this kid: **Love Sauaso's intensity**. Hoping for another big year for him.

PL

Agree. But he needs to not get carried away with the semi- dodgy cheap shots like he did against France. He gave away a few penalties too by pushing the boundaries a bit far. It is great to finally have a forward in our ranks again that has the opponents fearing where he is and looking over their shoulder.

Without a doubt WT would be considered the least intimidating forward pack in the NRL by their peers. We need to change that to have any impact on the competition in the next few years.

He appealed - successful

He gave away a few penalties too by pushing the boundaries a bit far.

Better than holding himself back for fear of being penalised, I love players that go right to that thin red line every time…sometimes it gets crossed thats footy

Yep, and you will be the first bloke on here having a whine when one of these penalties costs WT a match or two next season 😕
Everybody loves a player to play hard and ferocious and not hold back but silly penalties from carrying on a bit too much is not what a team needs either. The tackle into the French halfback the other day was a case in point-Sue had ample time to pull out but got too over-enthusiastic and hit him late after he had passed the ball. Resulted in a penalty in front of the posts and got him put on report as well. Play hard and tough as you like but cut out the silly crap.

Will I?

I'd say you might be first on here whining, seeing as it bothers you so

I didnt see the match or the incident you described, obviously blatant late tackles are not an example of what I described in my post….

I love players that go right to that thin red line every time

....what you describe sounds like ill disciplne, frustration and dumb play

Once it crosses the line from hard play into silly penalties then it becomes a problem as we have seen with Gibbs, Blair etc for the Tigers over the years. Sue is a hard nut without needing to resort to the silly stuff. That is the point being made.

he is still a youngster and as we know inexperienced players make mistakes, Jesse is in that mould. Hopefully in a couple years he gets the balance right and gives away very few penalties.
Woods was a bit better last year with penalties, hopefully next year he will better again this year as well.
A lot of great forwards rarely gave away penalties, the likes of Webcke and Lazarus come to mind

He was absolutely fuming at Sims last night after getting kneed in the head

Pretty sure Sims apologized and you could tell by his body language he didn't accept it and had at least a 15 second rant at Sims

Don't think it will be too long before we see this kid on another Bonstonkers classic.

To come into grade through injury, cement a spot and go on to a great RLWC, so glad to have him on board!

Where does he start 2014 if everyone is fully fit?

We know Woods, Galloway, Blair & Fulton will be wearing starting jumpers, so its gona be a battle ensuring a start in the 17.

Looks a good prospect!

I'd have him starting at 13, pickup where he left off.

If not, definitely a bench option, work on bringing some impact and aggressiveness to our bench.
