OFFICIAL Jock Madden #244

[Guest]

The fact the club re-signed Jock is pretty incredible. Lovely young bloke but not a first graders rear end

The only justification is it's a 1 year deal to play KOE when we're at full strength.

If we were the Roosters we'd recognize he wasn't up to it and let him go by the end of the month ......

But then again ...if we were the Roosters we'd probably only have 3 blokes still here at the end of the month ....

We're just not that smart Happy

[supercoach]

How can you judge a kid in a team that is totally busted. The whole 17 looked rubbish, I will reserve my judgement till I see him perform in a team that is having a dig

Yeah i know ...but then again the Roosters would still beat us with only 3 regular starters ...but then again , they own a heart beat ...don't they

The Magpies in 2022 .....

[BAGNF05]

The best young halves stand head and shoulders above their peers coming through the grades and usually have supreme confidence when given their chance. They have ‘It’. Sadly I don’t see it in this guy.

Madden is still learning NRL...he will be ok next year with a good preseason under his belt...just remember he has lacked playing footy this year...

[hank37w]

More keen to see how he goes this week against easier opposition. Hopefully our attacking plays look better than last week

Lets hope the players aren't thinking this way ....no easy opposition in the NRL

Yes there is, they're called the Wests Tigers.

He'll be the next Hynes , Walker , Ponga , Moses , Brooks ...that's it ...the next Brooks ......oh damn ......

[Yossarian]

Given he’s barely played this year because State Cup got canned, he’s probably not going too badly. I’m not sold yet but I’m prepared to keep listening to his sales pitch.

Yeah given his preparation he was never going to light it up...

Needed the whole year of consistent footy which no one from lower grades got..

Madden is crap I said last year and I will say it again he is crap . And after brooks last two games he can also be called crap , Madge has lost the dressing room and needs to go along with the defensive coach and if there is a attacking coach him too .

I would agree if it was a timing issue but he just doesn't have the vision. I have watched him KOE and he seems more a support player to me

[southerntiger]

For those saying “give him a chance”. Why? What potential have you seen that I haven’t. He was poor in KOE. We have had much better halves at that level who never made it to first grade. Drinkwater, Miller the list goes on. Jock wasn’t even our best halfback in KOE this year

Could see it in the trials and in reserve grade. Hartigan etc. have no idea.

Yep. That’s the real worry. I have not seen Jock put in a single performance that has made me think “yeh, he might just have it”

But he was once a junior talent. That is the future of the club

[hobbo1]

Got to give him at least 160 games like Gnome

[tony soprano]

Cant attack obviously

[colinbh]

These players need to go= Twal, good defender but has he passed a ball once this year?

Brooks. No explanation necessary.

Madden. Offers nothing.

Talau. Could not run out of sight on a dark night. Defense iff

Cinni. God help us.

Chee Cam. Gone to Souths hopefiully.

JTJ. It is time.

We need pretty much a new backline. Where they come from is anybody.s guess.

Some would say that there is no future in this club especially if big mouth Lee is found to be sprouting rubbish about improving the club.

Lol could say the same about Brooks his entire career.
