Just watched the game again and Maddens ‘effort’ in defence is far greater than AD and defence in general is similar to AD who can also miss a tackle, but madden gives his outside men more room whilst AD tends to think what he can do individually.
Both are generally good goal kickers
The only advantage AD has, is he can kick the ball further, I don’t think that outways his inability to give outside men their opportunity

All the talk for AD at lock, but I reckon he would make a good second rower, he would need to muscle up but if he could get to 105kg plus without losing too much pace he would be hard to handle.

Could his body stand up to it that's the unknown.
